He's been telling me to tatooe his name in my arm for almost 6months. He said if i tatooe his name he would tatooe my name. I told him a lie that i already tatooed his name then i told him the truth that i didn't. But he still tatooed my in his arm in big Black Old English letters and he still wants to take me to tatooe his name. How should i make him understand that i dont want a tatooe?

It is your body. You have last say so. Stick to your guns.

He thinks he's got you because of the lie you told and that now you have to get the tatoo. Guess what - it's your body and you don't have to do anything to it you don't want to. Just tell him you've re-thought the whole thing and you don't want a tatoo. Period. No reflection of how you feel about him. You just don't want a tatoo. If he continues to push you you may want to ask yourself whether you want to keep dating him? What else is he going to try to push you to do? Why does he not respect your feelings?

my theory on tattoos is this: i have 3 and want plenty more, but no man or woman will ever have their name on my body. This is something that will be carried with you for your entire life, theres no getting out of it. What if things don't work out in the long run.

I just went through this with my boyfriend and he said it would be a great idea, i simple said, " darling i love you, isn't that enough for you, why should i have to put your name on my body when there is a great chance that something may happen!" and he understood.

So with that, just tell him that this is too delicate of a situation for you to be bothered with.

He sounds pretty controlling. If he can't respect your wish to NOT have a tatoo that's a real problem and he's an idiot.

Tell him your not ready, and constantly asking you is not going to change your mind. The answer is no for now. Tell him you will have to read about it in the bible, to see if God allows it. Which he don't (do not defile your body). Buy a T-Shirt or a few of them and have it air brushed with his and your name in a heart. Choose different colors or styles. and tell him that when and IF you decide to get a tattoo, you can make it a suprise.

I'm going to tell you from my whole families experience!!!

DO NOT DO IT!!!!

Everyone that I know that has put a woman's or mans name on there bodies ( other then there kids names) has never had the relationship last.

I don't know how old you are, but you are going to love many people in your time, the next guy isn't going to like have "Steve" on your body when he is "Joe"....and you wont like it either!!!!

If you want a tattoo go for it! I happen to love them, but please not a mans name!

DO NOT DO IT.

Sorry to shout, but tatoos are too expensive to remove and boyfriends are easy to replace.

If he likes his name so much, have him tatoo it on his other arm. Don't deface your body that way.
