Is it going to be in our lifetime or the next generation lifetime?

I know we're in the "end times" also known as the "latter days" right now!

1) Israel has been re-established as one country (instead of 2, as it was from after Solomon's death through the last diaspora) and the regathering of the people has been going on since that time. See Ezekiel 37.

2) Jesus' parable of the fig tree is recorded at Matthew 24:32-35. (The fig tree is the ancient symbol of Israel.) He tells us that when Israel becomes alive again, the end is near. Israel announced about a year ago that, for the first time in nearly 2,000 years, there are more Jews living there than anywhere else in the world.

3) Ezekiel 38 and 39 tells us about an invasion of Israel lead by Russia and Iran, and joined by other Muslim nations such as Libya and Egypt. Russia and Iran have formed a pact for the first time in all of recorded history; news reports suggest Israel, the U.S. and England will pre-emptively strike Iran within months. This may be the catalyst needed to provoke Russia into action first. Ezekiel 38:16 tells us this will all happen in the "latter days," a.k.a. the end times. (This prophecy confirms event #1 I've listed above was a sign the end times had begun.)

4) Jerusalem and Israel will be the cause of international disagreements and wars in the end times. Other nations will seek to take some of Israel's land away. (Zechariah 12:1-5). This is being fulfilled before our eyes.

5) Jesus tells us that the generation that sees the re-establishment of Israel and the first "birth pang" (which was WWI and WWII) will still be alive when He returns. A Biblical generation is 70 years, according to Psalm 90. I'll let you do the math.

I believe that it will be in the next 100 years. One particular scripture that tells me this is Daniel 12:4 "But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge."

What this scripture tells me is that at the end of time knowledge and travel will increase to a level never before seen at anytime prior on planet earth.

At NO OTHER time in history were people able to travel as quickly and rapidly all over the world like they do now. Also with the advent of the internet, you can get answers (or "knowledge") of anything you want, all at your fingertips...they don't call this the information age for nothing.

As soon as the Gospel is preached & published to all the nations, then shall the end come around.

Then the rapture, those killed for Christ after the rapture are also part of the 1st Resurrection, then the wrath of God, then the 1st Resurrection complete, then the devil gets thrown into the abyss, then the beast & false prophet get thrown into the lake of fire, then the age of Christ Reign, then the devil is loosed, then the devil is thrown into the lake of fire, then comes the next resurrection & the Great White Throne Judgment of God, then death & hell get thrown into the lake of fire, then those whose names are not found in the books of life are thrown into the lake of fire, the 2nd death. Anyways, that is how I understand it.

The 1st Resurrection started when Jesus raised from the dead & will be complete before the Millinium Reign of Christ. All redeemed by the blood of the Lamb are part of the 1st Resurrection where the 2nd death (lake of fire) has no threat over them.

In about 5 billion years when the sun blows up for sure. Or perhaps in around 50 years when the first ultraintelligent machines arrive.

Alternately, some blasted Christian wishing to immanentise the eschaton could do us all at any time. That Bush guy's still got the bomb codes, after all.

I hope it would be in my lifetime. Nobody knows when the end times would begin. Even Jesus doesn't even know. Only God knows. He would bring the end times when he is ready.

I truly believe we are living in the end times...for many reasons. One of them being the regathering of the Jews back to Israel. The Fact that major players from Ezekiel 38-39 are beginning to join up together with one thought in mind...I know there is more but I'm sure others will list them...
