Marine Corps marriages are basically wrecked in case you enable them to. you may by no potential enable the Marine Corps dictate your marriage, you may by no potential flow by potential of 'information' of protection stress divorces. concentration on your very own marriage and you'd be effective. Can he even ge decrease back in the Corps? Has he talked to a recruiter yet? it is going to count on his reentry code on his DD214 if he can reenlist or not. Why does your college could be placed on carry? i've got been to varsity in North Carolina, Okinawa, and Tennessee...i've got by no potential had any subjects going to college. as some distance because of the fact the way of existence is going, definite that's an adjustment yet you may cope with it. anticipate the worst and desire for the excellent. Separations will ensue, its okay to be disenchanted at the same time as they are long gone yet you would be self sufficient adequate to %. your self up, get a activity, flow to college, volunteer, and get a interest, all that are separate out of your husband because of the fact whilst he's long gone you pick some thing to maintain you busy. Telling a Marine which you're apprehensive a pair of pay shrink in the event that they flow decrease back in the Corps will constantly fall on deaf ears. no person is in the Corps for the money, they are there considering the fact this is the place they sense they could be. If I had listened to what anybody advised me approximately marrying a Marine, in my ideas i could have been a battered, abused, female with an adulterous husband who beats our infants and spends his entire paycheck on alcohol and that could not be added from the reality.

Yes.

No one really tells you this until you've signed away your life, but any enlistment contract obligates you to 8 years of service if the President really feels like he'd like you to do it.

It's called the "Individual Ready Reserve." Any enlistment shorter than 8 years puts you in a reserve force that does no training and is not paid, but can be deployed if needed. Generally people with rare skills are the first to get sucked back into duty this way.

EDIT: Thanks for the thumbs down, moron. I guess reality and facts are just too harsh for you to cope with?

If you have a 2 year inactive reserve commitment after the initial enlistment is up, and you are still within that 2 year period, then the answer is YES.

You may be on active reserve for up to eight years, so it would depend on how long you served. At this rate with the war, I wouldn't tell anyone that there isn't a chance for deployment. I am shocked that we haven't had a draft yet.
