No, it does make you a fiancee or wife of a former Marine. To get that status, he must either be active duty or be a drilling Reservist. The dependant card you get when you get married is the difference.

I don't understand the question, or the importance of this issue...if he did not re-up, then you'd be engaged to a former Marine. And if you're married while he's active duty, then you are married to a Marine. You are a civilian.

My husband is a Staff Sergeant in the Guard. That makes me married to a Soldier. And when we were engaged, I was engaged to a soldier. And when he retires, I'll be married to a former soldier.

It really doesn't change YOUR status...your a civilian no matter what, unless you enlist.

Boot Camp is 13 weeks.....Your either married to a Marine or your not. Once a Marine always a Marine. You are either the wife or fiance. You are nothing unless you are enlisted.

If you were engaged for one day or married for one day, while he was in the Marines, then yes, you would be. If not, then no. You could have him go back in so that you could call yourself a marine fiancee or wife, or you could join yourself and he could become a Marine fiancee or husband.

I concur with most of the different posters. there is not any e book contained in the international which will particularly prepare you for boot camp. do no longer waste your money. On good of that, each Senior DI will do issues the Marine Corps way as he sees it. each Platoon with each business corporation will do issues in straight forward terms a tiny bit in yet differently. the preparation is largely the comparable for each guy or woman, yet each SDI has his very own way of doing issues, and he runs the platoon. To "prepare" in accordance to what you examine in a e book is to set your self up for some sand pit time with the DI team. they're going to rip you a sparkling one, kiddo. Your suitable guess is to make constructive your persistence is extreme and your legs are relatively good... working is a thank you to end that. (maximum area I injuries are leg, ankle, and foot-appropriate) additionally, in case you artwork with the community recruiter, he will teach you a thank you to coach for the preliminary PFT. different than that? Boot Camp isn't approximately brute capability, that's approximately being mentally good. era. ensue desperate to do in basic terms what you're advised to do, the instantaneous you're advised to do it, no count number what. ensue desperate to be mentally good once you're bodily susceptible, and in a position to income a thank you to apply your psychological capability to triumph over those bodily susceptible moments. ensue waiting to do boot camp the way your SDI tells you to do it... In his e book, the only element that concerns is you doing HIS software in case you're there. the rest you may learn will in basic terms be undesirable conduct he will might desire to interrupt.. and that isn't make him satisfied in any respect. (And unhappy SDI's make for extremely unhappy recruits!)

If he's already out (in IRR) then it makes you his wife. That's it.

It makes him a veteran.
