I read somewhere a while back that Bettierage has one, then this morning Weird Darryl stated he has one. I own one, also.

No way...the PLATYPUS should be the mascot! The poor creature goes against all the laws of nature. It's a miracle it hasn't been condemned to hell as an abomination by some believers. I've been waiting to see if the Westboro Baptists were going to show up at a zoo somewhere to protest the creature. lol.

Now way should any dog be an atheist mascot. With their desperate, slavish and unconditional adoration they're much more appropriate for the god-botherers. Sorry.
Cats are much more appropriate: to get a cat to like you, you have to do the work. But if we're to have a mascot at all, it should probably be from our own clade. I'd suggest a Bonobo, because their superior civilisations are something for us to strive toward.

I used to have a dachshund. :) Of course, I foster rescue Labradors now, but then again, I'm an Agnostic, not an Atheist. :)

It's not very nice to breed poor little dogs with their legs to short. I think the kennel club has a lot to answer for. Give them back their legs and you atheists can have wide mouthed frogs.

Yes.
I think atheists should also design their own flag, their own pledge of allegience, and have their own holiday traditions and observances.
For instance, they should change Christamas back to what it was originally-a celebration of the winter solstice.
