I think they will grow out of this. Plus you guys can just NOT do it.....there's a though. People will always WANT things. That doesn't mean that they will get it.

Don't sweat the small stuff. Call them what they want for now, just for fun. They'll change their minds soon.
It reminds me of my father and the neighbor twins, Arlene and Darlene. He couldn't tell them apart, so he called them Marlene and Carlene, only to have them decide which was which so he still got them wrong.
Congratulations on surviving twinhood for 5 years. My girls are 31 and it was all worth it.

Ahh.. just call them Frank & Stien. They probably will only like it for a short time, and it's kind of cute.
Kids are only young once, let them have fun with it. :)
I doubt as pre-teens they are going to want to still be called that.

Hey, if they like it what is wrong with that. I think it shows their sense of humor, don't you? Me and my twin were called every one of those kinds of names and we got used to it. My twin brothers did too. LOL! It's really no big deal.

Their only five and they probably think it's really funny. Let them have their fun, besides just think of how you could embarass them with these tales when they get older. You'll look back on this and laugh when they're grown.

when my daughter was 4 she decided that her name should be Dottie. I have no idea why. But, I appeased her (when I remebered) and guess what? It lasted a couple of weeks . That's it. No big deal. Pick your battles.

When my little brother was little, he would only respond if we called him Batman. It was slightly annoying, but he grew out of it, just like your brother will. Don't worry, it is a common thing kids do.
