MR imaging of the brain reveals evidence of focal parenchymal lesion in the right posterior parietal region in the subcortical white matter. T1 weighted axial images shows a pin head sized nodular hypointensity with an isointense margin.FLAIR axial coronal images show signal attenuation in the lesion suggesting its cystic nature. No vasogenic oedema seen around lesion.

a cystic lesion in the brain is generally due to an infectious process, can lead to tumor formation, treatment depends on the symptoms and what the doctor wants to do.
