Yes, you could claim the credit on both years' returns. On each, you'd show the expenses paid in that year.

Consult with a tax expert. It would depend on the exact dates of your moving, and the percentage of effort in each division, etc.... They'll help you figure out what's legal and what's not, but on the surface it sounds like you have a good chance of filing it in both taxes IF you don't claim the full credit on either one.

If your moving expenses were split between 2 tax years you'll claim the amount actually spent in each year on that year's return.
