You should ask just the Females that. And you aren't showing your real face. So the females can see if you look handsome or goodlooking.

Yes, handsome is the term referring to the male species, good looking is used more these days and may be applied to both sexes.
Listen don't let your head get big with ego, that is the most unatractive trait of the human being and not very well tolerated by opposite sex.
Just because someone finds you attractive does not necessarily mean that they fancy you, or would like to go out with you. You are just nice and pleasing on the eyes.
You should check out the other persons availability, this will help out a lot if the person is taken then it is almost a given just looking.
But if single, you may have a chance toward the first step.

Not neccesarrily. If they were older handsome isnt anything to be excited about, and goodlooking doesnt mean they want you. You can find someone goodlooking and not fancy them. And especially if it were a younger person and they said handsome...i would be shocked.

It depends on the how the individual views the words. Although there are objective defintions for words, some people use them in different ways than their original meaning.
You don't have to fancy everyone you find good looking. I barely ever consider a guy ugly, most men are attractive but their are very few I have crushes one. None right now, actually.

My opinion of a 'good looking' man is someone who is "pretty" with model-like features; pretty, smooth skin, perfect white teeth, dazzling smile - pretty much someone who could be "empty-headed" but still takes a good photo!
Someone who is 'handsome' is someone whose personality shines through their nice smile, their skin isn't exactly perfect, their teeth aren't necessarily the straightest (white is nice though!), and their "beauty" from within, enhances their overall facial features.
If I told someone they were good-looking, it would be a simple compliment. If I told someone they were handsome, there would be a little flirtatious "fancy-ing" included in my compliment!

You can be handsome without being good looking
There are many people I find to be handsome or good-looking, that I do not care for.......
Tom Cruise--the brochure looks nice--but the reality seems to be sub-par.

It's basically the same thing meaning your easy on the eyes. You're not ugly! But it doesn't necessarily mean that they are interested in you. Just smile say thank you and get an ego boost!
