just take out...the shell...peel it off....n then take out the two vain located opposite each other....thatz about all

Depends on the size, If you looking at large cocktail shrimp then i say yes.
For a small shrimp, for a pasta for a soup leave it alone since you might mangle the shrimp trying to clean it.
to clean large, get a large bowl fill with cold water, take some scissors and cut the top with the shell on sort of like a butterfly cut but not too deep,keep the shell on since dry cooking the shrimp is best with the shell on it will keep it from drying out, once cut open clean it under the water cuz that black tract, its not a vein be a digestive tract sticks the you fingers. the Tract is not bad to eat, once cooked. but in larger shrimp is a bit sandy.

Hey there !! First off all Thing's you dont do is...."soak in Water"....you should take off the "LEGS", leave the Tail on. Then Deveine by cutting open the Back with a Knife and take out the Dark Part. Wash under running Cold Water. You're ready to Cook the Shrimp !!!!!

It's really easy. Rip the legs off first, then peel off the shell down to the tail. (Or rip the tail off depending on the dish.) Then take a paring knife and make a gentle shallow slit down the back. Remove the vein under cold running water. That's it!

I peel shells by hand and use a paring knife to make a slit along the back to remove the vein, rinse under running water and pat dry.
