I encourage you to study at the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry site: carm.org
My advice: Don't get too caught up in the little things, but focus on the central problem: Salvation. Mormons claim you are saved by Jesus AND "everything you can do" while real Christians believe you are saved by Jesus "and not that of yourselves". Mormons don't have salvation because they deny the sufficiency of Jesus' sacrifice.
Works come after salvation not before or during. We are not saved by works, but Jesus alone.

Witnessing to a mormon is a waste of your energy. Like teaching a pig to sing, it's a waste of time and annoys the pig.
They also believe in the absolute correctness of their religion, and you are the mislead one, following satan and all that.
Preserve your friendship and do not speak of witnessing to each other. It'll become "My Testimony beats your Witness" contest that won't resolve either one of your positions or issues.

ask them if they know the bible as well as the book of mormon and the other two they study, doctrine and covenants and pearl of great price.or if they have read revalation where it says to not add or take away from these words.my mother in law is mormon so im pretty familiar with the doctrine.she is an elder in the church.most importantly we look for the simalarities we believe in and then go from there.try going to each others churches and keep an open mind.pray for your salvation first.dont try to convert them.we always pray for the lord to touch our hearts as we as we search for answers.
none of us have all the answers so i pray that my journey keeps me in the middle of the path, and far away from the cliff.
pray first for knowledge and understanding and wisdom will follow.

How do you witness to any friend?
Make sure when you say "Jesus, Father, Satan, Holy Spirit" it means the same thing.
Find out about why your Bible is not authentic and why theirs is.
Try to find a place where you can speak with authority with them.
Find out why there are so many grammer errors in the message given to Smith.
Find out about why Smith was arrested prior to his encounter.
Find out about the proof of the group that went to South America
Have something you can personally give...not something you heard someone else say.

First, we are to be well informed of our advisary so study the history of the Morman movement so U know it like the back of Ur hand. Then, U will be ready to counter their Dogma and show Ur friend the Truth. Christianity is Not a Religion like Mormanisim is. Mormans are a "Johnny come lately" group of mankinds doing like all Religion and so is full of many "Holes" in doctrine & over the many years Mormons have had to impliment many changes to their Dogma, which is something that Christianity has never done. Always approach Ur friend in love with prayer for their soul. John

A banker would study a dollar bill carefully to make sure he is quick to spot one that is fake. Likewise... the best way to witness to a Mormon or anyone is to know what you believe and to be prepared should that person want to know what you believe.
Whatever you do.. never cram your views down a person's throat... let them come to you.

changing a Mormon missionary removed from Mormonism could be a tall order. because of the fact of their finished dedication, those adult males are steeped in religious stories and are in a position to exersise faith that finally leads to non secular presents. do no longer underestimate the capacity of the spirit to convince a man or woman of the reality. a man or woman who knows contained in direction of the capacity of the Holy Ghost that he's on the appropriate course isn't extremely swayed.

Uh- let's see, tell them they are going to hell, that they aren't Christian because they don't believe what you do, they believe in a different Jesus, they don't believe in the Bible.....that's usually what most Christian's tell me.
Instead of trying to "convince" them they are wrong for not believing as you do, point out the doctrine you have in common and try to learn some of the LDS doctrine - the real doctrine, not the crap that's all over the internet.
Maybe you will find something out about the LDS you didn't know. Remember, the spirit of love is from God, the spirit of contention (arguing and things) is of the devil.

Well firstly remember you consider this person your FRIEND. Treat him/her as such. One of the best ways to provide a Witness is from example. Try to live your life according to your beliefs. Offer to share, but do not shove, your beliefs. Clearly an essential is to KNOW the Bible.

Share your story only if he asks. Otherwise, leave the poor guy/gal alone. I know, I know. We all laugh at the Mormons. But when it comes down to it - obviously their spirituality works for them. Let them be. If they're not harming anyone else by believing what they believe, why try to convert them? I mean I understand that many Christians think the whole point of their religion is to convert the masses, but it's kind of annoying - just so you know.
