Is Dubya hoping for another "Paris Peace Accords" to end his "Vietnam War"? I agree with Reid, the military win in Iraq is lost. Political scientists and historians are already crediting Bush with messing up from the beginning. He will go down in history as a reckless warmonger. He wanted this war and used anything he could to make it happen. Why does he insist on sacrificing our soldiers to save face?

I fully agree with your observations but to add, we cannot credit only the current president for the Iraqi mess. To some extent, his father is also responsible for this - left over from the first gulf war! So, in the end, it seems to have become a family affair, not a national affair, and in pursuing that goal, sacrificial lambs are thousands of people, including American soldiers, getting killed!

It has been proven that a military victory by US troops anywhere is impossible as long as there is a Dumbocratic Party around to go on and on how we cant win a war with anyone and cut off funding to make it happen. (this is what happened with Viet Nam) The Dumbocrat party of today has little to no resemblance to the Democrat party of sixty years ago. If the present day Dumbocrats had been around then, we would all be speaking German or Japanese and there wouldnt be any Jewish people around. (for you liberal arts majors out there, that is a witty way of saying we would have lost World War Two)
Since YOU (along with Sean Penn, and the other hollywoodiots who have never been there or were wined and dined by SoDamn Insane) are such an expert on Iraq, how can you explain why sixteen provinces out of eighteen are peaceful and starting to prosoper? You think we should just run home and let them get pulled into the chaos which would follow and get thousands of people killed? I thought you libs were such global thinkers and were so concerned about everybody everywhere. Guess that doesnt include Iraqi citizens.

I don't think it was ever indicated that anyone expects a military victory! This is not a war as so many of you "Bush Haters" keep saying. This is a police action, just like Korea and Vietnam, designed to try to give the local govt's time to gain enough strength (some work, some don't) to manage their own country, and to try to keep the Islam terrorists over there instead of in your fair city! It is working in spite of you!!!

Why do you believe that it isn't?

I think most of the reason for the recent bombings and murders is Harry Reid.

You libs will just never get it that by constantly spewing your anti-American garbage and constantly regurgitating your criticisms, you're encouraging the murderers to keep murdering. It's like Vietnam all over again.

We killed more of the bad guys during the Tet Offensive than they killed during the entire conflict yet you libs turned that into a defeat. With your constant spewing of those lies like "This war is lost" you cost us that one and now you're doing your best to throw this one away too. The problem is that this isn't some backwards little country, this is a global war with Islamic fascists and they mean business. We pull out now and they will most assuridly attack us on every front.

You cut & runners keep denigrating President Bush's service in the National Guard yet you're like blind little lemmings following Reid who hasn't spent a day in uniform but somehow knows more than all of our professional military commanders put together. Personally, I don't believe that Harry Reid even knows what State he represents. He's an idiot of the first order and a traitor to boot.

Harry Reid is the modern day Tokyo Rose! I can't even fathom how someone, especially one being the head of the democrat party, stating the war is lost right in the middle of the surge and while our troops are working so hard. The moral of these troops must have just taken a huge dump with that irresponsible statement. Talk about impeachable! He ought to be embarrassed that he said this. The poor democrats must be cringing at his comments!

, Victory is often achieveable, yet i'm afraid we would decide to bathe out our closet of huge and nasty stuff to apply. no longer purely that, we could might desire to boost the damn factor to get to the real undesirable adult males, it extremely is Syria and Iran. Make no mistake approximately it, those are the culprits in this finished mess and it extremely is making something of the middle eastern international locations real hectic to have the Persians and the Syrians with too lots capacity. it extremely is been reported that Saudi Arabia has had talks with Israel related to their concerns with regard to the middle eastern stability of capacity. it style of feels that unusual mattress fellows mutually with this, have a extra useful understanding and have faith in a single yet another than they do the Persians. Now, how is that for a sparkling twist? one factor the international could be certain, this subject keeps to alter, yet on no account gets uninteresting!

Because he is human. What would people have said if after 9-11 Bush did nothing? He would have been a coward. I don't like war more than anyone because my husband is a soldier! However, love him or hate him Bush gave Americans there sense of pride of country and for a while it made us all fell closer to each other. There is never a winner in a war because someone is going to die and the loss of life in senseless! We may as well be living in the wild. Animals fight to settle disputes not civilized humans!!

I think the "clock is ticking" Hes plotting his removal of troops without losing face. Likely there will be alot of stuff about withdrawal is not surrender, and the democrats are to blame if a Civil war erupts.
