Well I can tell you two things that may help. First that magic, and other things are true. The power the devil has is real and true. You will find however you cannot use those powers to heal the sick or do other things that the end result is good. You can only use those powers to lead away from the things of God however subtle they are. Second, However not all paranormal things are from the devil, some are gifts from God for us to use as we would like and can and should be used for the good of mankind. You will soon be forced to choose who you worship as you cannot follow two masters at the same time. I think choosing God and his gifts to help people is the better way, as the great deceiver will when he gets you in his chains, will take away the power he has given leaving you empty and lonely.
If you would like a more personal view on this matter you can Email me and I will share more.

Although most Christians don't realize it (or like to talk about it if they do), there's a long tradition of ceremonial magic within Christianity.

http://www.cyberwitch.com/Wychwood/MagickalLodge/cmIntro.htm

Witchcraft, which is a different magical system, is a technique in the same way that prayer is a technique, and is practiced in many different religious traditions, including Christianity and Judaism:

http://www.lilitu.com/jap/

So yes, there are people who are Christian magicians and who practice magic in that context. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but then again I'm a Wiccan (a religion where most members practice witchcraft).

Keep an open mind, remain true to yourself, and good luck. :-)

You are open-minded -- unlike many Christians, I see.

Consider this -- the Bible condems mixing dairy and meat. Do you eat cheeseburgers? Ham? Shellfish? It's all against the Bible.

It's OK to make a study of Magick. You don't have to be Wiccan to practice Magick -- there is Christian Magick, as well as Jewish, Pagan, Muslim, etc. Read some of the other answers I've given -- I've gone into more detail about this here.

Magick is, however, very much a path of "think for yourself," and so no established church will approve of it -- they want to do the thinking for you.

I don't think you're confused. It just sounds to me like you're new at it, and haven't found a path that fits you quite yet -- and it's OK to forge your own path. Don't let anyone try to scare or bully you into any one path -- the right religion for you is something you have to figure out for yourself.

And here's a quiz that will help you sort out your personal beliefs;

I tell you this in love and not condemnation for it would be a good thing that you turn from this sin to the TRUE and LIVING G-d.You should not be doing any magic for

8and to fearful, and unstedfast, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the liars, their part [is] in the lake that is burning with fire and brimstone, which is a second death.'

Revalation 21:8

and

10there is not found in thee one causing his son and his daughter to pass over into fire, a user of divinations, an observer of clouds, and an enchanter, and a sorcerer,

11and a charmer, and one asking at a familiar spirit, and a wizard, and one seeking unto the dead.

Deuteronomy 18:10-11

think about it G-d is real and is better than any magic

It's funny how it's ok to worship a magical being and be saved, yet all contact with reality, like using and learning about energies, magic and stuff like that...is forbidden. Haven't Christians ever wondered if they were being manipulated by the masses?
They say no, and I'm a sinner, but have they ever asked themselves that question?
If they are saved, then why don't they live naked? As in- they're pure again?
Do they admit they are living in their minds and not in reality, which would entail searching for proof by meditating, contact (physical) with nature etc...?

This means that you are not a "Born Again" Christian. If you were, you would not be doing those things that God hates without feeling guilty. We know that we have passed from death unto life, if we have a love of the Brethren. If we love the Brethren, we would love going to Church. This may sound horrible to you, but it is the truth. We are called 'Born Again' because we have turned from our sins ans received Jesus as our Lord and Master. We obey His Word and His commandments. because God's Presence dwells in us. If we say that we love God and no light dwells in us, then we are a liar. We do not love God because we have to, we love God because we are one with Him. It takes more than just believing. -- "Even the Devil and his demons believe in God and they even tremble." The only thing that makes us a Christian, is doing the will of the Father, and we can only do the will of the Father when the Father is living His life through us. I would seek a Holy Ghost filled Church if I was you so that you can be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Warning: If you are a "Born Again" Christian, and continue to dable in the occult, you will walk away from God's protection and give Satin legal right to mess up your life.

You are only a Christian if you are born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, joint heirs with King Jesus, part of the family of God.

Believing in God goes to the next level. It is commitment, confessing with your mouth Jesus Christ is your Lord & Savior. That you receive His shed blood for remission of your sins, that you believe in your heart He raised from the dead & you will raise from the dead also at redemption day complete.

Yes, when one has spiritual eyes open, one can see the demons of magic practices & divination. That's because there are worldly spirits.

Yes ,this will make you confused and be demonic oppressed. If you are truly born of God, you can't be possessed by demons. But rebelling against God & going after other gods (& that is what you are doing) will open the door for demons to oppress you. Because God will turn you over to them. God lets us learn the hard way sometimes.

I know from personal experience. I was a Christian & fell away, then prayed again & the devil poured on me his bag of confusion. All the idols in my life got fried, but it was a horrible experience that I wouldn't want anyone else to go through. But you are setting yourself up to get in a similar situation I went through.

You need to know who you think of as THE ONE or the one who is spotless and perfect in your eyes. Paganism and Christianity are conflicts of interest, however, there is a way you can do the Pagan stuff and not be condemned by the masses. Just ask The Great I Am to help you with this quest and bless everything in the name of the Great I Am the one who fathered Jesus and Issac and Jacob. I would make sure that the pentagram gets purified every single day if you don't throw it away. You're walking a fine line, you just need to be careful. Good luck dear. You can IM me if you wanna talk about this further.

It is YOUR responsibility to seek-out the truth of spiritual matters--this is the essence of free-will. The truth will NEVER run from or avoid the 'light' of scrutiny. The truth will never ask you to follow 'blindly,' and it does not require that you dismiss legitimate questions or concerns for fear that you may offend it. In the end, the truth can only be what it has always been or ever will be--The Truth. Such as it is, once you have found that Spiritual Truth, anchor yourself to it by faith. Keep your heart and mind open, and be prepared to follow where Your Faith leads you.

don't let these "hater" answers make you doubt what YOU believe in. a person with an open-mind can see the truth in different things; a person with a closed-mind only focuses on the differences. look at all the answers and you'll notice that these so called "christians" will give you answers that insult and judge you. i'm a practicing buddhist and what matters is what makes you happy.

to quote the buddha - “Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
