i'm wearing mine and i love it, don't let anyone force you want to do anything that you don't want to do....keep the fro...you see how pretty it can be!
and the ladies telling you this is because they are jealous i think they realize that everyone looks the same, perming and straightening their hair...
What problems have you encountered while wearing your natural hair?
This is more of a nuisance than a problem, but strangers may ask what kind of weave is that in my hair or where I get my hair done. When I state that it's not a weave and I do my hair myself I usually get the ~yeah, ok~ look. lol I dislike when people touch my hair without my permission or pet my hair as if it's an animal. Also some people assume that I am going to judge those who continue to relax their hair, when the truth is I strongly believe in live and let live. Other then that when I wear my hair big, I also get a lot of looks but for me I do not like being the center of attention so it can get uncomfortable at times.
PS: i love my hair natural its unique

It maybe be jealousy or too much assimilation or both. Some of us think that if our hair is not silky and straight then we don't fit. Personally i think that natural hair is beautiful and more healthier than some of those who use some sort of chemical process.
I am in the final stages of becoming natural and my hair is 110% better than what it was.
Tell the chick with the wig to let it go, cause if people can tell that you are wearing a wig or a weave then you are looking a hot *** mess.

My hair was permed since i was about 14 (im now almost 21), last year i cut it, put it in braids to let my afro grow back.
Do not listen to these girls, eventually your hair will break, maybe not soon, but it will. EVERYONES hair with a relaxer starts to break at some point, mine took 5 years but it happened. Everyone i know with one has experienced breakage, Then u end up putting it in plaits or a weave to get the strenght back. Stick to the natural and jus get a hot comb when u want. perm jus weakens and makes the hair sooo much flatter! if u do perm it u need good condition when u wash it and a steam. dont want u to regret it, u know black hair dont grow fast!

Well, my hair is permed and I kinda wished I kept it natural. You are smart and these girls are obviously jealous. Of course even if I had kept my hair natural I still would've permed it sometime down the road. Keep your hair as it is if you are comfortable and don't let anyone tell you what to do with it. Obviously the girl in the wig wish she could wear her hair naturally.

Well I don't know if they are jealous or not, I know that i was i was natural for up until about six months ago. I regret the decision, my looks thinner, and i can't wear my old styles. my hair isn't trained to wear permed styles, so I'm kind of stuck. If i were you, I would just stay natural. I like that look anyway, it even looks more mature, and sexy too.

I have a relaxer, but I'm hardly fake. I like my hair relaxed because for me it is much more versatile that way. I liked it when I had it natural, but that time is over for me. It's about doing what you like, and not being bothered with what other people think. The only thing that bothers me is people with poorly groomed hair, and that can be natural, relaxed, a wig, a weave, whatever. There's no excuse for dirty, unkempt hair.

Personally, they prolly wear weaves, wigs and get perms. if you dont want to do it, then walked around with the afro scooped to one side. Really the way it sounds.....it looks stupid, but maybe it doesnt.
I like my hair curly sometimes and straight sometimes, but i have decided that i am never getting a damn perm again. Makes it more tangly.

I don't know if it is jealousy maybe they don't like your hair that way and are saying you should do something with it. I relax my hair but I don't have a problem with natural hair. Sometimes I wear my hair wavy puffy. Some like it some don't. Don't let others tell you how to wear your hair. As long as you're happy with that's all that matters.

Do what you want. My mom liked the natural look, but not the fact that she couldn't do a lot with it. So she got locks, and it looks nice. And why should they care what you do with your hair? If you are lazy, that's not their problem! And the wig-wearer is a phony! It might just be a female thing where some women like to talk talk talk, and not say anything at all.

I have personally done both. I have had my hair natural on several occasions and relaxed most of my life. I'm planning to return to the natural styles.
It's your preference. Maintaining healthy hair in both stages is hard work, but natural is definitely easier for my hectic life. And now there are so many options for both, I personally think it's a preference.
