It really depends on where you are located, and which vaccines you get. There is only one required by law, rabies, and a few others are highly recommended. A lot of other vaccines are given on an as needed basis, such as if the cat goes outside or not. Some vaccines can also be given every 2 or 3 years, rather than every year.

For an indoor cat, all that is typically needed is rabies and the 3 in 1 distemper vaccine. My two cats are indoor only, and receive only those two vaccines every 3 years.

I would suggest calling around to local vet offices and asking a) which vaccines they routinely give for cats, and b) the cost.

This page has some interesting information regarding vaccines in both cats and dogs. http://www.vetinfo4cats.com/catvacc.html

Really depends on the Vet. My animals are about $5-10 depending on the shots and if I drop in or the Vet do it with a Horse Visit. If, you live in a large City you may try a small town vet that close, but, here you have to do the math if it actually be cheaper to buy gas to save $5.

It really depends on where you live. If you live in a big city you can expect to pay more. We live in Toronto and pay around $100 for the vaccinations and general checkup. Call around to local vets in your area, they can give you estimations of cost. You might also try local animal rescue organizations, sometimes they have reduced cost services.

Check with your local shelter, they sometimes give you free vouchers to take to the vet. It's part of their animal population control program. I didn't have to pay anything for my cats.
