With so many legitimate ninjutsu and ninpo taijutsu instructors out there, how can so many be so blind to the true teachings of this ancient art? I can't believe some of the answers to peoples questions. It exists. Bujinkan and "To-shin do" are alive and well. These are some of the true teachings of the ninja of long ago. Do NOT be fooled by the likes of people like Ashida Kim and other frauds.

I have to add that I know not ALL of the ancient teachings are still taught for fairly obvious reasons, but so much is still offered. Even discussion of the historical teachings without actual application in class should offer some insight. Some people still believe that ninjutsu was about assassination. Guess I shouldn't laugh though. I have access to plenty of books, but every Thursday night I prove to myself that I am NOT smarter than a 5th grader. Lol!

I'm not saying your wrong, because I have no clue. Think about this.... You seem to be getting upset with everyone who isn't saying your right and were wrong. I understand wanting to "protect" your style but light'n up alittle. If your right and you know it, why care what others think. I'm not saying your wrong but if you would look at things in a view that maybe your not always right you may understand that others have ideas that arn't the same as yours.

Well, the word Nin or the character for it that you sometimes see painted on Ninja headbands in the movie means 'To Endure". Jutsu means technique or skill. So the word Ninjutsu would literally mean Endurance technique or skill. To me Ninjutsu is not a fighting technique per se but more of a fighting philosophy. When someone studies Ninjutsu, he's not just studying specific physical techniques to fight an opponent, but is training his body to endure physical hardships that come with his occupation so he can complete his mission. So I find all this bickering about specific techniques a bit pointless, I don't know whether Ashida Kim's technique sucks or not, but if he really was a Ninja, he'd probably concentrate more on his information gathering and assassination skills than his physical prowess, especially since you don't need to be a master fighter to be good at assassinations, skill with poisons or a bow would do just as well, it's doing it undetected which was what made them effective.

I do not really believe that the true essence of ninjutsu exists today as it did back then. Very few have captured and teach what is true ninjutsu. Very few actually know the real history behind the ninja and ninjutsu.
Those who claim to be the only true authorities on ninjutsu are misleading and far off the path of the shadow warrior.

Ninjitsu is a very encompassing art. These warriors studied poison, explosives, assassination techniques, stealth, disguises, suicide etc....enough said. They also kept all there secrets to there self, the whole art was a secret.
I do not believe in modern times outside of the mountains of Japan that people study ninjitsu to the extent that actual ninja did.
Perhaps they study one of the ninja fighting styles, but they are not studying the entire system. I am pretty sure some of their training methods would not be accepted by Americans as it it a little hard core and rough.
If you study a ninja fighting style that is acceptable, what I don't like is when they try to pass themselves off as "ninja" they are more accurately "ninja stylists" perhaps as they do not study the entire system to the extent that actual ninja did.
No disrespect, just a thought.

Jesus instituted the Church, no longer church buildings. "it incredibly is to Peter that he says: 'you're Peter, and upon this rock i'm going to construct my Church' [Matt. sixteen:18]. the place Peter is, there is the Church. And the place the Church, no dying is there, yet existence eternal" (On Twelve Psalms 40:30 [A.D. 394]). st. Ambrose Is it charitable to assert that people who've separated themselves from the Church are not any further in communion with what the Church teaches and delivers you? previous Church Councils have declared this. they have not have been given any valid monks, deacons, or bishops, no valid eucharist, and so on...Many gatherings are not any distinctive than at stay overall performance arenas. it is actual christianity? in the event that they do no longer partake interior the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and consume the Euchatist, have they have been given existence in them? (Jn 6:fifty 3) If it is the Protestant church is the actual church and there can purely be one, then the 1st 1500 years of the Catholic church have been purely a sham, that incorporates the organization of the Church via Jesus Christ himself.

Hmmm...
I'm probably included in the "so many" right?
I only raise objections when people as questions such as: How can I become a "real ninja?'" rather than investigating the martial art of ninjutsu.
The "real ninjas" of Japan are no more. They practiced a secret profession and many of the secrets of their profession are outside of the scope of ninjutsu.
I just don't like to see people ending up in a fantasy world by confusing "who they were" with "what they did" and "how they did it."

... Are you aware it's illegal to teach public how to break into place, assassin, sneak around, etc...? That's exactly what Ninja did if they ever existed.
That's why you won't find any true ninjitsu school today.
