Some accept anything the PC crowd tells them.
People are suppose to be 100% tolerant (except to those who are bible believing christians).

Hun,
Its not wrong to ask for prayer or to ask people if they need prayer. You have a wonderful heart and it simply means you want to help people! Or you need help which is ok. Everybody needs help! I think its very good to ask for prayer! Nothings wrong with it!

No way! At my church, we are constantly "lifting each others burden," by praying for one another. Thus, to have prayer for you, you must ask for it! There is nothing wrong with saying you have a need, and then asking for prayer about it.

no it is never wrong to ask someone to pray for you. It is the privilege of every believer to pray for those in need. No where in the Bible does it say that God helps those who helps themselves. Granted God asks us to do certain things but not because He needs us to , it is because He chooses to use us. Why do you think it is wrong? Prayer is awesome- those who think otherwise are people who are so prideful they do not think they need assistant from anyone let alone the only one that can actually give us more than we ask or imagine.

What could possibly be wrong with prayer for yourself or for others. There is power in prayer.

i don't think there's anything wrong with it. when i see a prayer request, i answer it. i'm pagan. i send positive energy in a similar manner as people send prayers. i don't think it matters where the "prayer" comes from or who or how, as long as it helps the person/people who need it. : )

The only time it would be wrong to ask for prayer, is when you ask amiss for something, or ask to pray to some FALSE god! Like BAAL or Zeus or Ishtar or the like!
Asking for prayer is the 'life blood' of the Christian faith!!

1. Prayer doesn't work
2. Asking someone else to pray for you, or asking if someone else needs prayer, is like giving them a excuse not to deal with their own situations. To fix a situation, you need to actually deal with it, not pray about it. Action, not words. Besides, the bloody Christians are always fond of saying "god helps those who help themselves". Besides, if there is a god, I'm sure he has plenty of other things to worry about than whether you have enough money to go out Friday night or not.
