according to myth busters, talking on your cell phone is much dangerous than driving drunk. they actually performed the experiment. as far as i'm concerned they are equally dangerous.

Driving drunk is worse because it has a worse punishment if you get in trouble. But honestly if someone isn't drunk, they are just legally drunk because you can be after 3-4 beers, I'd rather be on the road with them, at least they are paying attention because they don't want to get pulled over. People on cell phones aren't paying attention. It is so annoying when someone does something on the road (like cut you off, brake for nothing, sit too long at a light, etc,..) and when you see them they are on the phone. It's like they are completly unaware that there are other people driving!

The bad thing about both is that people assume that they can drive well with a cell phone (or drunk) but other people can't. I had to use a cell in my car for work, but I would pull over.

Driving drunk while on a cell phone. LOL No, actually it has been proven that drunk driving causes more accidents and that not paying attention or rubbernecking causes more accidents than talking on a cell phone. I saw an article a couple of months ago.

They're about equal. Several studies have shown that yakking on a cell phone is roughly equivalent -- accident wise-- to driving with a BAT of around .12, 50% above the legal limit in most jurisdictions.

driving drunk. not everyone is distracted by talking on the cell phone. but driving drunk impairs your vision, motor skills and reaction time. far more people are killed in drunk driving accidents than in cell phone related accidents.

They are both equally as bad because you don't have your full attention on the road ahead of you.

I was texting last summer at a red light. It turned green and I went. The car in front of me did not. I rear ended the hell out of him. I've never gotten in an accident while I was drunk (knock wood). I pay attention to the road because I don't want to get pulled over. I try REALLY hard when I'm drunk.

Driving drunk is worst....

But some people drive the worst when they have rowdy kids in the back seat.

Both are bad.
Drunk drivers are trying their best to concentrate and drive, but they are too dizzy to do so and cause an accident.
People who are driving while on the cell phone, on the other hand, don't concentrate on the road, and that's when accidents happen as well.
