How awesome the names of the LORD are! Jehovah, one of the well known names of God means" the all- sufficient one." Jehovah-jireh means" the LORD will provide." And isn't that so true?!!! Think of the story of Abraham and Isaac. When God told Abraham to offer his only son as a burnt offering on Mount Moriah. When Abraham obeyed God and started to offer Isaac, the LORD called out and stopped him. Behind Abraham, caught in a thicket, was a ram. Abraham called the name of that place The LORD will provide. Abraham knew that the LORD would not let him kill Isaac. The Lord had already promised that Isaac would be the father of many nations. Upon initial reading of this story, it may be hard to understand. But, it truly shows us that when we love, obey and worship God, truly wonderful things happen. Mount Moriah went on to be the sight where Solomon would build the temple. I hope that this has been encouraging to you, this morning. Remember, Jehovah-jireh, the LORD will provide

It seems quite remarkable that this so-called "questioner" would miss the plain truth that a more correct translation of this place-name would be:

. . . .JEHOVAH Will Provide

It is sad that so many continue to work to hide the Divine Name.

Interestingly, even the Encyclopaedia Judaica says that “the avoidance of pronouncing the name YHWH ... was caused by a misunderstanding of the Third Commandment.”

(Psalms 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth

(John 17:26) [Jesus said] I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them

The bible uses the Divine Name ("YHWH" or "Jehovah") nearly SEVEN THOUSAND TIMES. The bible writers refer to the Almighty by His personal name more times than by "God", "Lord", and "Father" COMBINED. There is no other personal name used in the bible more than the personal name of Almighty God. It seems clear that Jehovah wants his name to be used, while insisting that the Name be used respectfully.

(Exodus 20:7) You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way

Yahweh is the provider -

Of the very spirit that gives us life

God gives to both the believer and the unbeliever.

The Almighty God is our providence.

Thanks for posting your Sunday sermon. It is a good reminder that God puts into our life what we need. It is correct to point out that we should be willing to go to the length Abraham was willing to go and The Almighty did - give his son.

God will not ask more from us than we can do.

When we are down and the miraculous or unexplainable pulls us up this is our personal Jehovah jireh. It is good to mark the time and place so we can remember and be grateful when again things of this world seem bleak and gray.

"Jehovah-Jireh" isn't the call of God. it is the call of the mountain the place Abraham found a ram. Genesis 22.14 And Abraham referred to as the call of that place Jehovahjireh: as that's pronounced to on the present time, interior the mount of the LORD it is going to likely be seen.

well, let me tell you. Jehovah answers only when he wants and not when you need him. if he was so powerful as he says, free will, would not be a problem. If Jesus Christ is the actual Christ and god's son he should be doing some work not sitting on his *** in heaven doing nothing and leaving the dumb christian people been separatist. IF the holy spirit is so powerful as it claims to be...well how come doesn't do nothing about the christians who are liars, adulteries and even other "SINS".......when all this is going on churches???

don't dream on a lie.....if god exists as everyone claims...when was the last day he spoke to you...on your ear??? does he or not??

How can the Lord provide when God has lost the ability to produce manna? Look at all the hungry and starving people in the World. In the Bible, He was able to feed them with manna, now they starve to death.

Isn't there a no preaching rule in the guidelines?
There should be. We should not be subjected to ramblings about an imaginary being. A question would be part of your submission.
