Yes. You will need to sand it down to remove the clear coat - the shine. There is specially made paint available that bonds with the metal. Check out HGTV.com. I saw a show there where they painted a frig. You might have to do some looking around the site but you find the answer you seek.

You can have it painted, but you'll want to take it somewhere to be painted. The painting that needs to be done on it to repaint it is called electro static painting. You might want to look up a local business in your area if you are wanting to repaint your fridge.
And I guess there are appliance spray paints that you can buy. So yes, you can get appliance spray paint. Whirlpool makes some.

Yes. I just saw a show last week. I think it was designed to sell or something. They painted the refrigerator. Go to a home improvement store and look for appliance paint or something like that. You may need to prime it first. Ask the home improvement dude.

Yes, you can.
I dont know what kind of surface your fridge has..vinyl, steel, etc. Once you know that, you can go to a home supply store or art supply store and just buy paint that will work on that type of surface. Make sure the paint you buy is for that type of surface or it will not adhear. You need a special paint for metal.

Yes you can, but I don't know how long the paint would stay there, if you use wall paint, you might have to use more than one coat and apply it often, it will chip. If you use canvas paint like accrylic, it will last longer and probably look better too.
