The same reason why they only give you 2 ribs when you re-order at an all you can eat barbecue joint. The same reason why there's no 3-ply Scott tissue. The same reason why speeding tickets come in threes. The same reason why retailers round up to the next cent after taxes even if it's less than half a cent. The same reason why my car takes 5.5 quarts of oil and I have a half a bottle of oil in my garage whenever I change it. The same reason why drawers sticking out the top of your jeans is in. The same reason why restaurants charge an extra dollar when I want to substitute an extra piece of fish for the shrimp because I'm allergic to shellfish. The same reason why gas is $3 a gallon and people still buy full size SUVs. The same reason why millionaire football and basketball players have the need to smoke weed and carry guns into nightclubs. The same reason why people already going the speed limit hit their brakes when they pass a cop in a speed trap. The same reason why people don't understand that diet and exercise is the best way to weight loss. The same reason why the news media always plays the blame game when a bunch of people get massacred.
Now, I'm sure it's the same reason, but let me know when you find out.

You know, I'd always heard that casinos NEVER have clocks in them. But I was in a casino in Atlantic City and they had four clocks in there all working. You probably couldn't see them when playing the table games, but there were slots near them.
But most casinos don't have clocks, because they want you to lose yourself in the games and just keep on playing. If there were a clock you might look up, say, "Is that the time?" and then leave. Bad for business. Casinos make money over time, the longer you play the more likely the math is going to catch up with you and the casino gets paid off.

People lose track of time when they are having fun and time is money. So the casinos don't want you to know you've been there for 16 straight hours. Same reason they have no windows. They longer they can keep you in their casino and away from the Hoover Dam, the more money they rake in!

It's an old one casinos didn't have clocks, but these days we don't care as there are so many about everyone has a phone if they are not wearing a watch. If you want to know the time ask a Pit Boss.

I've worked in casino for 10 years.
1) There are no clocks. Dealers are forbidden from wearing watches. Time becomes meaningless.
If gamblers saw clocks, they might realize the time of day. And if they did, they might decide it was time to leave.
2) There are no windows. Gamblers have no idea whether it’s light or dark or sunny or rainy outside.
They also can remind gamblers of the passage of time.
3) There’s intentionally poor navigation. They are built like mazes meaning it’s usually tough to find a way out.

now that point that out it true i have never seen a clock at the casino. It maybe because they don't want people to be aware of the time so they will not leave.

Yes, the same reason their carpets are crazy swirly patterns (to keep you from looking at the floor)
The same reason they pump oxygen into the casinos, to keey you awake and "zippy"
So you don't know what time it, and how long you have been there......
They give you free drinks so you will not have to leave to get a drink.
Few benches, so you have no where to sit, but at a machine.
The reason is to keep you in the casino long, the longer you are there, the more money you will spend.
No windows, so you can't see what time it is outside.

They do not want you to know what time it is so you keep playing at the casino. If you know what time it is then you would go home when you have to but since they do not have clocks you could be playing all night and not know it.

I consider Steven and can upload one extra factor: Ever be conscious that maximum super paying for department stores have not got clocks contained in the hallways, and that most of the shops contained in the mall have not got clocks the place the ordinary public can see them? that's for the comparable reason: they choose so you might lose music of time and concentration on spending money.... In the two a on line casino and in a mall, you may continually in basic terms ask any worker and that they are going to as we communicate enable you comprehend the time.

They don't want you to realize it's late and go home. The more time you spend there, the more money the casino is getting.
