Pryor by KO??? Boy, people here sure know little about Beau Jack. First off, remember that BJ fought in one of the toughest stretches in the history of the division, when guys like Ike Williams, Bob Montgomery, Tippy Larkin, Enrique Bolanos, Wiilie Joyce, Johnny Bratton and Freddie Dawson were roaming about. In quality of opposition BJ far outstrips Pryor. He fought the tougher men, period.
That said, I'll take Pryor by close decision. Give Jack his credit people. No way does he get ko'd by Pryor.

Wow, you sure can pick em. Aaron Pryor was maybe next to the great Roberto Duran just about as good as it gets at 135, and putting him up against a true old school great in Beau Jack is a tough call to make. Both the blogbaba and Beau Jack were shoeshine boys, so I have a soft spot for Jack. Unfortunately for him Pryor had a chin of granite and the offensive fire power to get to Jack early and often. Beau was a world war II era fighter who's biggest fights were losses and a draw with Ike Williams. Aaron Pryor would have had enough to take both Williams and Jack. I love old school as much as the next guy pushing 50 but you have to give Pryor the respect he earned. Aaron was shamelessly ducked by Ray Leonard, and most of the other name fighters of his time, for good reason. Pryor could have beat Leonard, Mancini or any number of name fighters of his day. He was simply too much for the two old timers as well.
Aaron Pryor by KO in 10.

Would Pryor be drained having to make 135? He fought at 140 as a pro. Hmmmm? food for thought. Jack was a great fighter and could go toe to toe with the best. I think Pryor's resolve and iron chin helps him win an split decision in a true slug fest.

Well Aaron Pryor was devestating at 135lbs. That is why he moved up in weight because no body would fight him at that weight class. I have not seen clips of Beau Jack but from seeing Aaron Pryor's clips and the shot he took from Alex Arguello and shook it of to come around and still knock Arguello out I got to give it to Pryor by 11.
