I'm not sure if you have it spelled right, but Jesus said it while he was on the cross and it means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me" as far as I know. It is Aramaic- I'm pretty sure about that. It's in at least one of the gospels. Hope that helps. God bless.

is a better spelling I think. Jesus Christ said it on the cross as he was dying. Eloi is the name of God, His Father. the rest means "Why have you forsaken me?"

You didn't spell it correctly, but it means, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" Originally, it was said by David, as he wrote this in a Psalm, and then quoted by Jesus on the cross when he was dying.
