At least we can agree that Paul introduced his own ideas into Christianity.
“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences) ,
The Christian Trinity is a copy of the Pagan religion of Rome called Mithraism. Mithra was a half man half god who died for the sins of his followers. Guess what date the SUN god Mithra was born on ? - Thats right ...December 25th
The concept of God having a son is the basis of most Polytheistic religions and the exact opposite of the Abrahamic message of Monotheism. Your Lord is ONE – no partner, no Son , No God incarnate.
“The son-ship of Jesus Christ is the greatest fiction of human history.” (Lord Bishop of Canterbury Commission, the Spiritual Head of England, 1910.)
“The son-ship of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, the blood sacrifice of the lamb of God, atonement are not the teachings of Jesus. These are all inventions of Saint Paul who never really met Jesus.” (Hastings Rashdall, The Theory of Good and Evil)

The record could circulate on for pages. There are innumerable observations that could desire to land up being diverse from what's definitely noted. And the undeniable fact that C14 interior the ambience has continually been consistent isn't authentic; the cost of formation has numerous over the years, and tables have been arranged to correlate C14 age against certainly age as desperate by counting tree rings. In theory, any technique that delivers a measurable separation of a few thing over the years could be used for relationship issues, and there are dozens of suggestions that have been used for doing so. an extremely thrilling one has been used to get the main precise date yet for the age of the earth, that's now familiar to be 4566 million years previous.

I think that many Christians believe that God created the universe through the big bang.

Well, in my opinion, since before the formation of the universe, there has been a Divinity that is a part of everything. I think that Divinity began the Big Bang. I also think that evolution happened, and that humans are an accident. I think that the only intention of God and Goddess was to have some intelligent creature to try to know Them in Their many forms. We each percieve that Divinity differently, but that's alright because we each have our own truth.
Blessed be,
Amina

Correct answer: We don't know.
We can't even get before 10^(-43) seconds after the big bang, due to errors in the General Theory of Relativity (it's analogue and has problems throwing infinities at such small scales, the proper formula would have to be digital/quantum).
Get back with us when you or someone else has figured out quantum gravity.

It is still illogical for a god to exist. Even if there is a creator, if he does not know what exists beside him, he can have a creator of himself. God the creator is not something we should drill into. We learn to cope with nature and society and our civilization should evolve without being hindered by something illogical.
The answer is science should not compromise with any theist religion. If religions recede to teaching of morals, then people can study them all they want. Don't use an imaginary god to push your belief.

The Quran on the Origin of the Universe:
The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of ‘smoke’ (i.e. an opaque highly dense and hot gaseous composition).1 This is one of the undisputed principles of standard modern cosmology. Scientists now can observe new stars forming out of the remnants of that ‘smoke’ (see figures 10 and 11).
To see the images included in this article, please go to the following link: http://www.islam-guide.com/frm-ch1-1-c.htm
Figure 10: A new star forming out of a cloud of gas and dust (nebula), which is one of the remnants of the ‘smoke’ that was the origin of the whole universe. (The Space Atlas, Heather and Henbest, p. 50.)
Figure 11: The Lagoon nebula is a cloud of gas and dust, about 60 light years in diameter. It is excited by the ultraviolet radiation of the hot stars that have recently formed within its bulk. (Horizons, Exploring the Universe, Seeds, plate 9, from Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc.) (Click on the image to enlarge it.)
The illuminating stars we see at night were, just as was the whole universe, in that ‘smoke’ material. God has said in the Quran:
Then He turned to the heaven when it was smoke... (Quran, 41:11)
Because the earth and the heavens above (the sun, the moon, stars, planets, galaxies, etc.) have been formed from this same ‘smoke,’ we conclude that the earth and the heavens were one connected entity. Then out of this homogeneous ‘smoke,’ they formed and separated from each other. God has said in the Quran:
Have not those who disbelieved known that the heavens and the earth were one connected entity, then We separated them?... (Quran, 21:30)
Dr. Alfred Kroner is one of the world’s renowned geologists. He is Professor of Geology and the Chairman of the Department of Geology at the Institute of Geosciences, Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany. He said: “Thinking where Muhammad came from . . . I think it is almost impossible that he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because scientists have only found out within the last few years, with very complicated and advanced technological methods, that this is the case.”2 (To view the RealPlayer video of this comment click here ). Also he said: “Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics fourteen hundred years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his own mind, for instance, that the earth and the heavens had the same origin.”3

There can be reconciliation but not compromise. Science says "evidence suggests this is the most likely answer". This can't change to fit in with someone's religious beliefs.

Compromise is not the solution. Science has to admit that it is beyond its power limited as it is by time and space to comprehend, test or confirm what is made by the power of the Spirit. Spiritual power is beyond the measure and comtemplation of science. Period!

Unfortunately no. Big Bang is the faith that scientific reasoning can eventually prove a random cosmic occurance, whereas the Bible is the faith that God was behind a cosmic occurance.

No, they cannot. Why? Because no one will ever truly know the beginning of the universe. No matter what they agree on, there is no way to prove the validity of the theory.
