I heard of this weird suggestion before about wrapping saran wrap on your stomach but I dont know any info on it...do you know what it does?

I don't know if it does anything if you do it at home. But there are facilities where they put certain lotions on your skin and then wrap you in a saran wrap type then. Then they have you exercise (treadmill etc) for about an hour. Supposedly it takes away inches. I don't know if it works though.

Some think they'll lose more weight, while exercising ... because they sweat more w/the Saran wrap wrapped around them. Maybe they do, but, it's all just 'water weight' and as soon as they refresh their system with water ... the weight returns. If they do lose a substantial amount of weight, it's simply due to the exercise ... not the Saran wrap.

Not only is savashvi right, but while you may temporarily notice a smaller stomach/waist when you take off the saran wrap, as soon as you drink a glass of water it will come back. It's water weight, which means it's not real weight loss. Forget the gimmicks, and exercise and eat right. Sorry there's no "trick".

When I was in school the athletes that were trying to make weight really fast would wrap their whole body in saran wrap and run until they lost the weight. I'm sure it was just water weight and had no long term results. Just a quick fix.

This was popular during the 70s and it was based on the flawed idea that since it caused that part of the body to sweat, that it was removing fat from that part of the body.
It's not only stupid, but dangerous, as what you're losing is not fat but water, and losing 2% of your body weight in water may kill you.
