Botanics do this really good clay thing that you put on your pores each morning and closes them, be careful as some products block them and you'll just end up with spots again.

I use to have extremely large pores too; thus, I always had clogged skin all over my face. Nothing eliminated them until recently. I started using this product my boyfriend bought for me called No More Shame Pore Shrinking Facial Kit. It is made by Beauty 4 Ashes. It comes with a scrub that literally shrank my pores in one month. It is all-natural and is primarily essential oils, citrus fruits, and aloe. I know that the citrus probably really helps because it is a natural tightener. You can give that a try. It is available at www.discoverb4a.com.

I had exactly the same problem as you did. the only thing I found that worked was Clinique's Pore Minimiser. It's £15.50 a tube but it is the best thing in the world.
Pores are caused by grease build up on the skin so the area to look at is to get rid of the greasiness. I found that my skin got very greasy in the mornings when I got up and hen I had foundation on.
This cream eliminates the greasiness but also concentrates on tightening the pores that the grease has already effected.
It's a little expensive but it really is worth it.

I'm no dermatologist, but this is what I've read. Try using witch hazel or astringent regularly and use a salicylic acid product to avoid having dead skin fall into the pores. J&J is good. Also, I found that using a mask that controls oil and acne always makes my pores appear smaller. The one I use is Out of Trouble from Origins. Good luck

Pores first of all is geneticall predisposed. But they can be altered by aging, gravity, oiliness, and debris in your pore. I would first start using a clay mask at home. And remember to follow a bidaily cleansing routine and weekly exfoliation *chemical (glycolic acid, salacylic acid) or physical (scrubs). If you see no improvement then go see a well trained esthetician that performs chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Be sure that they are well training in performing these procedures, they may seen simple but many things can go wrong (scarring, hyperpigmentation, etc.). If you still dont see any improvement then constult a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist and they may be able to do more intensive peels or microdermabrasion, or maybe perform dermabrasion ( like sand paper), or laser.

It is not possible to "shrink" your pores.
Proper skin care will diminish the appearance of your pores.
Cleansing in the morning and evening with tepid, NOT hot water, with the products formulated for your skin care needs will definitely show an improvement. Also, be sure to moisturizer. Whether your skin is dry or oily, it MUST be moisturized.
Drinking plenty of water, eating a healthy diet, getting enough rest and managing stress will also help the appearance of your skin.
It sounds as if at one point you were following a skin care regimen and once you achieved the results you were looking for, your regimen went out the window.
Try going back to your previous skin care regimen, or if your skin care needs have changed, try a new product line that fits your needs.

Use a facial mask for oily skin. It cleans out the blackheads and gives your skin a new layer. My dad had bad acne up until the age of 40, he did used a skin product called Mary Kay. It worked. Also make sure you wash your face with a cleanser a least twice a day, use a freshner and moisturise with a product that is used for oily skin. But I would really recommend the Facial Mask!

I really recommend the Clinique pore minimiser. It's fairly expensive but works really well. I bought the mask, which I use once a week in the bath, and the lotion which I put on instead of moisturiser on the porous parts of my skin every day. It's made a dramatic difference.
To save a few pounds, you can usually get the samples cheaply on ebay. I'd recommend buying those to see if it works for you before you splash out on the full-sized versions.

They have face masks you can you with astrigent in them for the pores. Also try glue. Sounds silly but rub glue on there and let it dry. Peel it off after about 10 minutes. Give it a couple trys before you will see a difference.

a quick home remedy that's easy and cheap is to be extremely hardworking and put an ice-pack over the affected area every night after thoroughly cleansing your face.
or u can try clinique's pore refining serum, pore minimizer mask, as well as their thermal active pore refining mask. if combined with the above mentioned home remedy, the pores should respond in no time, and u should be able to notice visible results in about a couple of weeks

If I'm not mistaken, the second step of the cleanse, tone, and moisturise regimen--the toning part of the routine is there to minimize pores.
You can check out brands that carry a pore-minimizing effect.
Ultimately, there's nothing we can do about it really--the only way to do it is to do your daily routine of face cleansing to prevent break outs or anything like that.
