The sun is shining, the birds are singing. There's food in the cupboard, money in the bank and I'm at peace with the world.

Seems enough to me. (OK, I may have to walk to the shop to buy chocolate. I never said it was perfect!) How about you?

My son is playing quietly in the other room, his feet softly whispering to me the joy in his play. My love sleeps on the other side of the wall I'm facing now, and I can feel if not hear her gentle breathing.

I'm good.

The sunlight burns and blinds. The birds won't shut up their disruptive noises. The food has all gone off and is stinking up the kitchen. The bank money is only there until rent and taxes take it all.
Peace comes only with the Nihil... as the mortal world has naught but conflict...

BUT.... I'm alright with that.

Because for the contented Nihilist, there is nothing to worry about.... as none of it really matters.

The food in the cupboard can't be a nice thick steak. With peppercorn sauce, grilled asparagus and sauted mushrooms.

Only then would it be enough!

Well it's night-time, but I'm not a big sun-worshipper anyway, and my husband buys me chocolate, so I'm good!

Add: I'm pumped from the gym, I just had a tasty lunch, I'm healthy and there is a woman who loves me. I'm as happy as all get out.

It's fine to feel at peace with the world. However, don't allow yourself to be in ignorant bliss and forget about world's problems.

Ever read Ecclesiastes in the Bible? The wisest person who ever lived wrote about this subject. You might find it enjoyable. All is vanity! Let us eat, drink and be merry! At the very end he makes this statement:

"The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil."

Pretty good.
Got chocolate, so that's covered.
Told a Christian/fundie that their religious views weren't welcome, which was cathartic.
Got a couple of minor fix-up projects I could turn my attention to, and a good book to finish reading.
Yeah, things are pretty okay.

:)
