I have been working from home for a year now and my job involves me being sat at the computer for about 6 hours a day. I am 20 years old and i'm a size 8/10.

The other day i was in the shower and i noticed small red lines on my backside! Then i looked down and they were down the side of the upper part of my left leg except these were more of a purple colour.

I've never had anything like this before and i'm worried that these are perminent. I've left it 2 weeks and they havent budged. Does anybody know if me being sat down most of the time on the computer chair has caused this? and if these awful marks will go away?
Any help would be much appreciated xxx

Ive got them too. I got them from being on the pill. They are made worse by sitting down but I dont know if they are cause by it. They wont go away but there are some things you can do. There is meant to be an injection you can get that makes them disapear into your skin but its on temporary. I was watching the shopping channel the other day and there is this foundation called sheer cover and that made them less noticable. Also a tan makes them less noticable. I hope someone comes up with some ideas then I can try them too

They sound like broken capillaries which show on the surface of your legs or thread veins. If you have a sedentary job try to take as many breaks as possible. Get up & walk about for 5 mins. Stretch your leg muscles etc. They don't go away but you can get cosmetic surgery to remove them.

As my parents told me: "It's a part of getting old."

Varicose veins.

I got mine when I was working out on a regular schedule. I try not to gain as much weight and drink less. Alcohol thins you're blood making you more susceptible to such things.

It's part of being human, honey. If it helps, like, men love little imperfections in women.
