Tell them everything you just said. If you were honestly scared and wanted to be safe, I dont think your parents should have a problem with you staying home.

Let them no that you were afraid to go because of the whole gun threat thing, and let them no that u did try to get ahold of them. Tell them that next time you will let them no when something is bothering you soo much that it affects your school and education before the last minute. Maybe you should even have your parents talk to your school to get the absence excused.

Well, after the incident At Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, I'd suggest calling the police. If you skipped school, if you any days off, you could try doing it then

The truth, about what you heard. Don`t think any parent will shout at this situation especially after the recent Virginia Tech incident...

Well, u've got all day to write em a note.
Tell em you were frightened and you couldn't get ahold of them for advice and you made the decision to stay home for you own safety. Explain to them that you hope they will forgive you as you are admitting it and you did try to get their permission first.

Take all the absences you are allowed. Your parents are only interested in your well-being, sometimes you need a "mental health" day off...Don't worry if they get mad, theyll get over it.

tell them the truth of course, they would be concerned as parents, you could have called the doctors office and they could have your parents call you at home in this emergency situation. be honest.

Your parents should be proud of you. Don't worry, just tell them the truth and let them know what you were feeling.
