I would recommend that you stay out of the pool until the cuts are at least healed. If you have any underlying medical conditions such as diabetes or peripheral vascular disease then definitely stay out of the pool. You may not catch anything in the water but the pool area and the showers are a haven for germs. Treat your athlete's foot with an over the counter medication. Treat religiously, even after your symptoms have disappeared for about 2 weeks and then apply once a week. You probably got the infection from walking barefoot around the pool area and or shower and will continue to do so. Certain people are prone to athlete's foot.

DON'T USE BLEACH!!!! THATS JUST STUPID!!!
If you have athletes foot you need to seriously keep your feet dry after showering/pool.Take your inserts out of your shoes and let them dry b4 bed or anytime you are not wearing them and MORE IMPORTANTLY YOU NEED TO LEAVE COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS ALONE. YOU NEED TO GET TO A HEALTH FOOD STORE AND GET YOURSELF SOME REAL SOAP AND I MEAN REAL SOAP,NO CHEMICALS NO ANTIBACTERIAL CRAP THIS WILL ONLY CONTINUE TO BE A PROBLEM. AGAIN DRY YOUR FEET THAT MEANS INBETWEEN YOUR TOES TOES TOES!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!! I can't say it enough. The real soap will allow your body to heal itself, you may also try organic plain yogurt,MUST BE ORGANIC AND PLAIN otherwise it will not help.If you go to the doctors his prescriptions have chemicals too and this is your choice but its not good for you. Are you using peroxide to disinfect? This can be very drying as well,I suggest you get some UNPASTERIZED REAL HONEY and put this on your feet for the CUT SKIN,its a natural neosporin without chemicals that can continue the problem...AGAIN;real soap,ORGANIC PLAIN YOGURT and REAL honey UNpasturized, DRY YOUR FEET AND TOES!!!
And ppl really need to get over the corrections/perfections when they themselves complain and Screw up their OWN WORDS!!

There is enough chlorine in the pool to keep it reasonably safe.
When people see your foot they may not want to swim with you.
If you are using OTC products on your foot and they aren't working you should go to the doctor to get a prescription medication

Try buying a calouse remover to scrape away all the dry skin and I personally like to use anti itch cream (Gold Bond) every day it keeps your feet nice and smooth and prevents the itching. I used to have it but have found that right after my showers I dry my feet real good and when i put the cream on i let it air dry. Remember that fungus lives on moisture. If you keep your feet dry all the time it will eventually go away. Hope this helps

In the pool where I go you are not allowed to enter if you have a skin condition. You have to check with the pool personnel.

Try to learn the right there to use in sentence. Try foot baths in bleach, before entering pool.
