You will probably burn it up, but not neccesarily. Look at the label and it will tell you the acceptable voltage range. Swictch-mode power supplies usually will work over a very broad range (100-240V) whereas linear power supplies need a very narrow range (110-120). Also check the frequency, in the US we use 60Hz, and Europe uses 50Hz.
You can get a voltage transformer if you need it, but not a frequency transformer. If the DS specifically calls for 60Hz and you make it run on 50, it will work but it could get a little toasty because the transformer's primary coil will draw too much current. Just keep an eye on it in that case.

Don't do it you will start a fire. You will either burn out your game and/or the Hotel wiring. I know I did it once with my electric razor.
In the States you can easily get a 110V to 220V converter for Europe or the reverse 220V to 110V converter if you are European coming here. They usually come in a kit with various voltage setting and a set of plugs (2 hole, 3 hole , round, flat, triangular etc. to fit any country from here to the Orient. Be sure you get the correct size one. There are usually two, one for electric shavers and smaller, and one for larger voltage capacities.
These are usually readily available at Radio Shacks, Office Depots, Travel Book Stores, and chain stores. Many modern hotels have multi switch plugs in the washroom only for electric razors. However it is good to get a converter anyway for other rooms otherwise you will restrict yourself to playing your Nintendo (assuming it is lesser voltage) to when you are sitting on the can.

It's a no no! That will burn the circuitry of your charger. All you need to do is have a transformer that will convert your voltage rating requirement from 220 V to 110 V.
Hope this helps. ;)

uh not a good idea.....
You need to get a plug adapter usually from a travel luggage store or maybe the airport stores. many differing plugs wont fit in places with different voltages.
I would not recommend trying it, you could fry your charger and also your DS. if you are in a hotel, maybe they can arrange an adaptor for you.

definite, maximum digital chargers at present are smart chargers in that they might adjust to voltage distinction interior the opening. despite if, you likely nonetheless choose an adapter plug because of the fact the opening are diverse in configuration. it additionally will take approximately 2X the time to utterly charge in comparison the time at homestead.

You need a stepdown transformer to reduce the voltage. You can get one at an electronics store.
