Hello, fellow anxierty sufferer here. I have tried a variety of therapies and I have discovered, like millions of others that a combination of medication and therapy is the best way to deal with it. However, this is a long term application and practise. In the meantime, i would like to suggest Bach's (no, not the composer!) Flower Essences - a system of 38 Flower Essences that corrects emotional imbalances: negative emotions are replaced with positive.

The Bach Flower Essences are 100% safe and natural and work in conjunction with herbs, homeopathy and medications. They are safe for everyone, including children, pregnant women, pets, elderly and even plants.

In acute stress or anxiety take a few drops of Dr. Bach's Rescue Remedy directly on the tongue or mixed in a glass of water to be sipped at frequent intervals.

If you were to tell me the nature of your anxiety I might be able to give you more in depth suggestion as to whcih flower remedy you ought to take.

Hang in there.

You need to learn how to relax. This can be different for different people.

For example, some people like to meditate, others use aromatherapy, sport or my personal favourite is long walks.

It can be very hard some times because we feel insecure in our relationships, with money or our job. Sometimes it is simply a matter of identifying the source of stress and anxiety and dealing with it (such as change your job).

You may find it necessary to talk to a mental health professional or a doctor. Though doctors will be inclined to prescribe to solve your problem while counselors and psychologists will try and solve the problem through counselling.

Some people can only reduce their stress by medication, and if all else fails definitely see a doctor.

Hey girl, the first step is opening up. I know its hard, but I promise that it will get better. I know you dont wanna hear this, cause I never did, but it's a part of life kiddo. With more life experiences comes more confidence. It's not something that will change in a day, but you will see improvements. That awkwardness isn't from what you think it is. Its from a lack of self confidence. You gotta love yourself before you can whole-heartedly love and care about other people. Practice going out with those close friends to places where you don't know anyone. That's what I used to do. I can't tell you enough how it WILL get better. Life will work itself out. Just be patient!

Anxiety can be treated successfully. Go see your healthcare provider if your anxiety becomes strong and is getting in the way of what you want or need to do. A doctor, can help find out what is making you feel anxious. A therapist can help find a way to lessen the anxiety through talking, activities, relaxation exercises, or medication (or a combination of these things).

You need to consult you doctor. Many people have this problem. Your doctor might suggest you see a councilor etc. to get to the root of the anxiety and then prescribe a medication such as paxil, Zoloft.

Anxiety about What?
Is it a social anxiety? possibly you are concentrating on the effect your presence or behaviour has on other people , actually they are thinking about the impression they are having on other people , so to them you are not that important are you
Does this help ?

See a qualified therapist a handful of times. They are neutral, able to give a professional opinion, and you can be totally honest.

Try doing more good actions. Avoid bad actions. You can do it at least for a while and see the results.
