can i have your views on gambling, good bad?

Gambling is a fun and interesting diversion, but like all 'vices', it is best taken in moderation. The thing that gets me is the hypocrisy of politicians, such as my own Governor, who love to spend the money flowing in from 'MegaBucks', and other state lotteries, but then they rail against giving free Americans the choice to gamble in some other way. They say it's different, but who among us hasn't been in line at the 7-11, behind some old woman buying $50 worth of scratch tickets? I say let freedom ring.....we are all grown ups, we don't need a Nanny State.

I have a friend that had a real bad gambling habit. He came very close to losing it all, but he has a really good wife, friends and family and with their help & gamblers anonyomous he was able to straighten out his life and he is very sucessful today. I also love to gamble I really enjoy the whole casino scene you just have to be very careful and have a little self-control.

I have a friend that used to gamble alot (horses mainly) and lost his wife, kids, house & business through his addiction! It started with one small bet yrs ago on the Grand National & he won £100! From then on it was dwn hill all the way (sometimes winning but normally losin)! Its a very dangerous game & one i personally have no time for!

it is bad because the people I know they end up spending more than they win. Very addicitive often times it has the same effect as using crack. People tend to want more and more, but never getting what they want more money or more winnings

i enjoy it anyway , gamble on everything,even roll a dice to decide what im cooking for tea etc. ........... ;)
