Jesus died for all sin. Including suicide. The only thing that is unforgivable is blasphamy of the Holy Spirit, and that is basically dying denying Jesus as your saviour

You may not get the answer you are looking for because the question is not clear.

Also very few people on here ( me included ) are qualified to answer. If we were we would be doing something more worthwhile than being on yahoo answers ;-) You should ask this question to a minister or the samaritans. They are the experts.

So..to add to the other wholly unqualified and totally irresponsible answers:

I am not sure there is any scriptural support that says suicide is a sin. I think that is a man made interpretation.

On the other hand..it is kind of rude to God to end your life isn't it? Sort of like rejecting the best present in the world because you do not like the wrapping paper. I'm sure people would not commit suicide if they knew how much hurt it would cause God and others. Add..do not take away.

God has given Jesus "authority to forgive sins upon the earth." (Mark 2:10) Since Christ is also God's judge, he is the one that determines if a person gets forgiveness of sin.

Suicide may be forgiven and it may not be. Because God has to judge each case on its own merits there is little in the Bible about it!

Many young people have bouts of depression where they have suicidal thoughts. If they weather these, usually their lives turn out to be pleasant. It is necessary not to give in to momentary dispair.

If anyone suffers from such, pray to God Jehovah or Yahweh in the name of Jesus, and ask for comfort, for help to dismiss such bad thoughts.

Let's suppose you save all your money to gave a great gift to someone and the only thing the latter does about it, is to ill treat it until he throws it away.

Our body is like a gift that God gave us, just think about our senses. If we were created to eat different food having the same taste, everything we smell has the same smell and what ever we look at is of the same color. We would not really appreciate life, we would be like robots eating and breathing just because we had to do so.

When committing suicide someone showing God that he just don't care of how beautifully he made us.

Psalms 139:14 -
"I shall laud you because in a fear-inspiring way I am wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful,'
As my soul is very well aware.

God is good and he loves you. He understands the deep pain that causes people to want to commit suicide, but he knows that their lives are very valuable and important, to him, and to people who know and care about them. God forgives almost all sins including murder, and suicide.

Suicide usually happens after feeling lots of emotional pain and suicidal thoughts. It is often very much an 'in the moment' decision, chosen when 'ending the pain' is the motive, and rational thoughts are not present.
I don't know if you are considering suicide, or if it is a friend - but here's some advice for anyone considering suicide: tell God when you are having suicidal thoughts. Ask him to help you be strong and not try to take your life. Suicide is usually done without thinking clearly about the consequences. You might regret taking your life. If you do, you won't be there for family, friends, people who need you.
You need to make a contract - write it down, or tell someone you trust: "the next time I have suicidal thoughts I will not attempt to take my life until I have told [person who I trust] and talked with them". Also, if you have considered, or have taken pills in the past - flush them all down the toilet if possible.

Well God forgive all sins only if you wont do it again or try to be better person by not doing it again..But if the sin is suicide how will you convince God that you wont do it again, if you are already dead? There is just too many good things in life rather than to kill yourself. Even if you think life is bad, there is always somebody that have the same opinion..and then you can curse life together.. ^^

Suicide is a feature of cultic activity. Considering that I believe that the whole world is run by cults, unless you deliberately decide not to be affiliated with any group in particular that excludes people from its membership (you need to be prayerful for this), suicide would really have a basis in community attitudes towards punishing people mercilessly for slight or imagined misdemeanours. I'm sure there's a lot to it in every case and besides that murder gets passed off as suicide as well. I'm happy to leave it in God's hands.

The only sin Jesus cant forgive is the sin that is unconfessed, when someone has commited suicide they cant ask for for forgiveness, however we wont really know until the end, and there may be some people who, while they were dying, asked Jesus to forgive them. Jesus knows the heart, and so many people who have commited suicide really didnt know where else to go, Jesus understands all this, and He will make the right decision in the end. Hope this helps.

"If we confess our sins [to Him], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse from all unrighteousness" (1 Jn 1:9).
Sure Jesus can forgive all your sins before you die, but He wants you to do a job for Him on this earth. That way, you realise how important -- how special -- you are to Jesus, so why commit suicide, thereby denying Him the chance to use you as His instrument to spread the Good News to mankind?
We can't do very much in our own strength, but "I [and every believer] can do all [necessary] things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13).
therefore instead of seeking to save someone's life, take it to Jesus and ask Him to strengthen you and grow in faith in Him. Then, when you're trusting Him, He'll use you for His glory, and your reward in heaven shall indeed be great.
God bless, and seek Him, who loves you greater than you could love yourself.

My dear friend, the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. God can, and does forgive those who kill themselves - if they ask before they die (after they commit the act and realise what they have done). Suicide does not mean they are bound for hell, because God looks at the heart and not the weakness.

He knows what each of us has been through, He knows everything and He is a loving and compassionate and merciful God. It is a good thing that God judges and not man.

Trust in Him friend, He will never disappoint you.

That's actually a really good question, but plz don't tell me you feel this way(suicidal). I have, but I'm trying not to think about it because the bible tells me not to.
I think there ppl who are suicidal who turn to the bible anyway because they've lost hope and they dont have a life (i dont mean that in a derogatory way) so they seek Jesus. It's a tough one is that question and one that i have subconciously asked myself, except youve said it.
