Sometimes it's just angina, or lack of oxygen to the heart for a second, and it results in chest pain but doesn't necessarily mean you have a heart problem. If it persists I'd see a dr

If you have experienced chest pain, you need to go to the Doctor and let them decide whether it could be your heart or not. Pain related to the heart does not always occur on the left side of the chest or left arm. It can occur in the back, abdomen, right chest, neck, and ear. Angina, which is pain caused by lack of oxygen to the heart, is still serious and needs to be treated. If you have that, it could worsen and could lead to a heart attack. If your pain is related to the heart, you need to be on meds, or may need stents, etc.
Chest pain can come from gallbladder, muscles, arthritis, indigestion. But the heart is an organ that we cannot live without...it's best you get this one checked out by an expert.

It is not always related to a heart problem but there is a chance that it might be a heart problem. Consulting a doctor is the best thing to do now.

It really does depend. If it is in your left region (towards your heart) it may be the case. Since I do not have a ph.D in the medical field, I can only tell you from my own knowledge. If you've had your left shoulder and left arm hurt, that is related to heart attacks. I don't think Yahoo! Answers is the best place to ask health advice. The best place is the hospitals where the people who diagnose you have medical degrees and experience. Good luck and all the best to you!

Go to your doctor for a checkup. Might be related to your heart or reflux gas problems in the chest.

Chest pain can be due to gas, muscle pain or coronary artery disease. You can ignore the first two cases. But, you need immediate treatment if it is due to CAD.Consult your family doctor first and then decide.
