THANK YOU!!!!
Where we made our mistake was in saying "OK".
In the times when God was a welcome visitor in the halls of learning, we did not have crazed gunmen going into rages and shooting up their schools.
Maybe, if we allowed our children to grow up knowing that there is a God, Who does love them, they would have more self esteem. People who are confident in themselves do not need to either pick on others, nor do they need to be "popular" in order to be happy.
OH, how I want the innocence of my own childhood back again for my grandkids!!!!
Isn't it time that we (Christians) STOPPED saying "OK"?????? Isn't it time, and past time, that we started insisting on OUR Constitutional rights?
Before our grandchildren find themselves huddling in a basement to worship??????????????

Hi,
After reading this post I thought I would answer. Everyone is born spiritual and born with a spirit but life is what we live and it is not always spiritual it is how one handles it that makes a difference.
The person that caused all the deaths and harm was a very messed up person anger and hate can make a person do the damnest things. This was not an act of God.
Many of these gunmen are into dark and evil witchcraft there is so greater idolatry than self hate and punishing others for things they cant control.
That's why my brothers placed their kids in christian school because the world has gotten very perverse and rotten and evil, in a lot of ways public school is public disaster.
Pray for the families involved,
E4G

Yes, You are so right Stone, God will not impose himself on anyone. That's why so many are turning to home schooling, where they can have prayer. The evil committed by this mentally ill man was just that an act of Satan.
It really disheartens me to see people say where was your God when this happened? My God was with each believer that this murder killed, he was with each believer that this murder wounded. Could God have stopped this? Yes But again he gave us free choice we are not robots, he does not interfere with mankind.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
When I pray, God answers my prayers, they may not be answered the way I want them answered, but they are answered. He tells us that his ways, are not ours.
There will be a time when he will settle it once and for all. Those of you who read these posts and have mocked us, mocked God, or his son, can never say nobody told me, when you stand before him at the Great White Throne Judgment. We are telling every single day. You do not know what tomorrow brings. Salvation through Jesus Christ is your only salvation.
Jesus is Lord

I've read many questions on here about where God was during these shootings. I like your answer, but I do have to say that even though God is not allowed in the school, he is still there whether non-christians like it or not. He is with every person wherever they go. God does not say "I'll stand right out here and wait for you" as I enter a school. God bless those students' families and God bless those non-believers; may he open the eyes of their hearts.

When tragedy and unjust loss occur, the natural human response is compassion. The underlying reality is our unity. It is deeply disturbing that it sometimes takes terrible events or the witnessing of insane acts of aggression to open us up to our deeper unity. I am reminded of the attack on Amish school children last year. The loss is devastating, the reasons incomprehensible, yet the end result is a confirmation of their commitment to community.
These events are also most certainly the signs of a crumbling society pocked by the festering disease of easy bloodshed. In the desperation of our search for the God in all the wrong places we have sought out raw excitement to replace love and the risks of love. We have elevated killing to entertainment in both movies and in 24x7 news media. Death becomes an insensible list of numbers when reports of war are made. Murder in a small town is more real to us. Something must inform us that it is all real, that it is people like us who are dying.
The current society is out of sync with the inner nature of the human kingdom. The tension between our present state and our innate potentials will continue to give rise to both inspiration and grief. Our tendency to become desensitized can be suspended by our reaction of compassion when sudden events occur. In that moment, the daily denial we employ to survive the brutal realities of a diseased society can be overcome by the deeper, better, more truly human essence of love within us, a door opens, and new things become possible.

In reference to what "outraged" said - I wanted to say -
I was taken aback when you commented that there was not an Evangelican Minister among those who offered words of comfort at VT.
So I googled for any information about this -
I found this website - http://sibbyonline.blogs.com/sibbyonline/2007/04/jesus_neglected.html
it states - 'And another WND reader cited the speakers, in order:
"1st Speaker: A Muslim cleric invoking the name of Allah and quoting the Quran."
"2nd Speaker: A Buddhist Community Leader preaching that mankind is basically 'good.'"
"3rd Speaker: A Female speaker from the Jewish Community quoting Ecclesiastes: 'There is a time for everything.'"
"4th Speaker: A Liberal Lutheran Minister talking about 'healing,' etc. and how everyone needs to come together..................."

God is, was, and always will be aware of the activities of all! Regardless of what religous background one may have, we all make choices.....In todays world how can we demand divine intervention when we practice the complete opposite.? Some questions are never answered, and why this child did the deeds he did, we may never know.
But nothing happens in Gods world by mistake. There is always a reason and a purpose...not always pleasant, not always apparant, but it is there.
Who knows, it may have been the lesser of two evils.

So true brother, many want God's blessing and protection, but then reject Him. Then when something tragic happens they ask, "where was God?", as a way of proving there is no God. Such logic is what will condemn those people on the last day. Peace be with you.

Same in Australia. My son went to a Christian High School - and that was his choice.
God was there, He is everywhere, threes nowhere you can go to escape our Mighty and Loving God!
God was also hurting and angry.
I think what Jan said about the Angels is great and true.

I found it disquieting that there was a mohammedan cleric, and a buddhist cleric at the service following the murders, but no Evangelical Christian Minister !
You have hit the nail right on it's head ! But the God Haters will not get it.
Be Blessed in Christ Jesus !
