You cat will still have tape worm.
If the medication is a tablet - scruff your cat, gently push down on her bottom jaw until she opens her mouth and drop the tablet as far back as possible and hold her mouth shut and massage her throat. This will help her to swallow the tablet.
If the medication is in liquid form, use a syringe. Again scruff your cat and syringe the medication, gently, in the side of her mouth.

That tapeworm would have most likely been evident in the kitty litter. A white line around the body and the tapeworm Homicide Detectives pressing you and your cat for a confession, perhaps.
Seriously, I appreciate your desire to be free from worrying about your beloved pal; we've all been there from time to time. But its time to get rid of that parasite!
Perhaps if you name it G.W. Bush, the worm will vacate its cute little host's intestinal White House, and run to the local courthouse to change its name in disgust!
All kidding aside, this can become a serious situation if left untreated. A cat refusing to eat is never a good sign. I don't know if it is affordable for you, but perhaps another trip to the kitty doctor is in order.
There are a number of treatments for intestinal parasites out there, perhaps one would be more palatable to your little friend, and equally more effective!
Additionally, you my acquire the peace of mind that can only come from having them do a scan or X-Ray of the abdomen. It will cost a little more, true. But if against the odds you're right and the worm has moved along, that's a load off your mind (and you have bragging rights to aim at "know-it-alls" like myself)!
If however the problem remains, then you'll know how serious it is and better how to deal with it.
Thanks for indulging me, and I hope I helped you out. I have an 18 year old cat, who thankfully is in good health...but of course I worry about it. Just sayin' I know how ya feel.
Best of luck! Tell us how it turns out!
Steve

No. I would make sure she gets treatment asap. It is easy to give a cat pills, but they are far too smart to be tricked into eating them. If you wrap her in a blanket, or in even your knees, nudge her mouth open and push the pill down into her throat. It helps if you have rubbed it in butter so it goes down. Be very sure to give her three ml of water afterward, becauase pills easily get lodged into a kitty's throat, where they are useless. But make sure the kitty is not breathing in the water, just push in a third of a ml at a time, you can get these little ml free at vets, or pharmacies, or buy a childs one at walmart. If this is not pill form or liquid form, then rub it into the mouth, where htey will lick it off. They also sell pill guns, and it does take getting used to to find the best way to give your kitty the med, but it is the only way for her to get better. Also, it is key to explain to your kitty, who will be offended, that you are doing this to make her feel better. When she starts feeling better, she will understand.

no it wont go away with out treating it.
it will only slowley get worse untill the worms are takeing too much nutrents from the digesting food so the cat will lose weight and be malnutriched.
if ur cat wont take the meds u need to wrap it in a towel so it cant cratch and open its mouth and put the pill/med to the back of the throut , hold the mouth shut and rub its neck.

Probably not, you just don't see them, because they are hidden. Try to make her swallow a Drontal pill. Don't expect her to eat it in food, just put it as deep in her mouth as you can, in the centre of the mouth, and keep her mouth shut until she swallows it. Maybe help her swallow with a little water from a syringe, but careful not to choke her!

No, it will stay dormant until she starts to eat again. please try to get her to take the medicine for her own good. if we can't help with an answer on how to get her to take the meds. check with a vet, they can help you to get her to take it.
