They have removed all contaminated foods from the shelves. The main foods contaminated were canned foods the foods that are packaged I call it wet food. All dry foods are safe that are on the shelves. You dont want to feed your dogs table food it tends to make them beggers and you dont want that. But if you insist on something else dogs love white rice, plain yogurt and you can try mashed potatoes, eggs, hamburger, all cooked of course. There is a web site for all recalled foods Pet Food Recall check it out but all the bad foods were removed.

My dog uses Iams Minichunks - so far they aren't on recall. I wouldn't suggest feeding your dog home foods as he will eat it just as fast as his regular food, getting just as much nutrition, if not less. It would be really expensive. If you aare really desperate, I would consider bananas (they are cheap). Do not feed your dog steak or chicken because those meats are expensive and your dog will get just as much nutrition out of them as he will from a bowl of dog food.

Good Luck!

Buy some meat (beef mince meat or chicken or lamb) - boneless. Boil or bake it. Mix it with some rice and some carrots and peas. Feed him with that. Also add some raw olive oil on top of these - just a spoonfull.
