Onkyo makes good audio equipment. I recently purchased a demo TX-8511 from circuit city for $150. Being able to handle impedence as low a 2 ohms is a real bonus. The Onkyo is driving a pair of Genesis 1+ speakers that I just had refoamed with updated tweeters installed.

Onkyo makes some of the best audio equipment available. IN fact, their receivers are better than most (if not all) of the ultra-high end stuff that is overhyped. Go for it. Denon & Marantz are also good.

Onkyo makes good midline stuff, but look at the Integra line for a move up in sound quality...
