To religious people , Why when Atheists say we dont belive in god coz we cant see him and there is no proof you say ;-
Why do you believe in Oxygen?......Evere seen?? -
Well yes , i feel it and breath it !
Why do you believe in Electricity?....... Ever seen??
Well yes , i have seen it in a light bulb and once touched it ( i go a shock proof it exists )
Why do you belive in air ? . . . . Ever seen ?
Well yes , i breath it and hey , what do you think a tornado is made of ? Hopes nd dreams ?
and please dont answer by saying We dont belive in you coz you cant see me , coz im writing this , here is proof i exist !!!

As an atheist I sympathize with your comments, I have relatives that are christian and I think people turn to religion more for a sense of comfort than anything else.
I wonder what reaction there would be if atheist promoting channels where to spring up on TV like the religious ones, would they be as tolerated as the religious ones.
Someone posted that the bible was the word of god interpreted through man then what is the qur'an .

You are confusing belief with knowledge. People know about the existence of air and electricity, Many people believe in the existence of a Supreme Being or Beings.
It's a matter of faith - not a matter of science. This is precisely why God's existence cannot be proved (nor, in fact disproved).
You have your personal view of the Universe, coloured by all the experiences and stimuli you've enjoyed. However you can only define your personal view of the Universe. I have my own personal view of the Universe...
The point is we cannot expect to comprehend another's Universe (like the sum total of their PoV) simply because we are not that person - we'll always draw comparison against our own interpretations.
So, if a religious person chooses to believe in an entity that beggars belief in your eyes - that's just a difference in interpretations of what is external to both of you (experiences and stimuli) and may or may not have some semblance of Absolute Truth.

The animals, trees, clouds and people are the proof. we have feelings of anger, sadness, happiness, worry, love and so much more, this all didn't just happen by accident. I can tell you that if God didn't exist and we are here just by evolution then every thing that means any thing to us is and would all be for nothing and life wouldn't be worth living. It is every ones choice to believe or not. But for me, I'd be afraid not to believe.

I don't have a problem with you being an atheist at all. I'm a beleiver who is fully aware that it will never be possible to scientifically prove there is a God or vice versa. It's simply a matter of beleif. Are you happy with who you are? That's all that matters to me. Now you have a nice day :)

You don't have to see everything to believe. When a fellow human being helps another that's proof of God's love. Proof He exists is that you are here to find answers about Him, you didn't come to this y/a by accident. You are longing for His love. Reach out to Him.

Edit to Jason. to be honest, as far as we were concerned they didn't. However we had figured out that something was printing photographic films from some rock samples and Madam Curie set out to find out what it was. Now go fetch us a liter of God stuff.

Using your own analogy, so can I say that God's existence can be proven if you see His own writing?
If that's so, I guess you should go check out God's writing (albeit through the medium of human beings), it is called the Bible.

They are very simple people, to them evidence only comes by way of the eyes, at least that what they claim that we as atheists think.
