It's interpreted by most of the Christian preachers/theologians I've heard as stating that those who haven't accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will go to "Hell", discribed by them (preachers/theologians) as being a holding cell, and that God will cast "Hell" into the "Lake of Fire" before creating the "new heavens and new earth". (And I repeat, those I've HEARD. I just want to make it clear that I'm not generalizing.) But I've also heard some Christian preachers/theologians say that "Hell" is empty now. They claim that the Underworld consists of "Paradise" and "Hell" which are seperated by "The Great Gulf" a.k.a "The Bottomless Pit". According to them, before Jesus died on the cross to "clense us of our sins", the righteous were sent to "Paradise" when they died because (although they were righteous) they were unworthy to enter the Kingdom of God/Heaven.... And the sinners were sent to "Hell". They go on to explain that Jesus preached in the Underworld before being resurrected, that everyone in the Underworld accepted Him and then returned with Him to Heaven. Those same preachers/theologians explain that the Underworld remains empty today because the righteous/saved now go to Heaven when they die and that the souls of sinners remain trapped in the grave until the "Day of Judgement". I've also heard some preachers/theologians argue that "Hell" simply literally means "the grave" and that the souls of sinners remain trapped in the grave while the souls of the righteous/saved go to Heaven.

There are more interpretations than I care to remember, and that's all they are.... INTERPRETATIONS. Everything in the Bible is open to interpretation. For one thing, the Bible consists of several different books that were authored by several different people. And they're all dead, so we obviously can't ask any of them about their intended meanings, which is a really big problem because no one who spoke the ancient languages is around today to help us with understanding those languages. Another thing to think about is the amount of time that it took for the Bible to be written. Some people estimate it at about 1,600 years, and others estimate it at being as much as 3,000 years. No one knows with complete certainty, but it IS a fact that it took hundreds of years. Not only that, think about this: The entire Bible has been translated in at least 341 different languages. Parts of the Bible have been translated in at least 822 different languages. And there are many different versions as well. These are a few English versions...

•King James Bible, Authorized Version of 1611
•American Standard Version of 1901
•Webster Bible of 1833
•New Living Translation
•The Holy Bible in Modern English
•New International Version
•New King James Version
•The Holy Bible, English Standard Version

One problem with Bible translations is that we don't even have original manuscripts. All we have are copies of copies of copies of copies of copies.......
Anyway, my point is that there is no conclusive proof that the original scriptures stated one thing or another, and there is no conclusive proof that anything you read in the Bible was intended to mean one thing or another. The reader gets his/her own meaning from the Bible.

To answer your question,"Does the bible say non-believers go to a fiery hell?".... I've only read a few English translations, and the words used vary. But, as far as I can remember, there's no verse that clearly states, "Non-believers will go to a firey hell." And, even if it did, we have no way of knowing if such is an accurate translation and if the author intended it to literally mean that non-believers will go to a place called Hell where there will be fire. More importantly, we don't have conclusive proof that, if God exists, He told the authors of the Bible to write it.

The holy Bible says that "the Soul that sinneth ,it shall die".
Death means separation from our Creators.
Hell is likened to a consuming fire; It does not mean that Biological life will roast in Hell. It is just allegorical. What ever it is ,I would not want to go there to find out.
It is better to repent of our ways and turn to the Salvation that is provided to us thru The Meshiah; 'The
Lord Jeshuah(Jesus) Ha Meshiah (Christ). That would ensure that we would have Eternal life in Heaven in His presence.
There is no yes or no answer except there is only One Way to Eternal Life.

Your Gay- You've got some of the funniest answers!! LOL

I think that if I live a good life, help others when I can, don't hurt anyone in any way, and am generally a good person- I've got nothing to worry about. And if your God doesn't think that's enough, then I don't think He's someone I want to believe in.

Dear Friend

Hell in the eternal suffering in Hellfire is a man-made teaching and has no Biblical basis. The bible infers Hell as eternal seperation from God.

Hell, The Bible terms it as the second death in the book of Revalation, from which there is no resurrection, i.e anyone going here would simply cease to exist. The Bible often refers to this as Sheol which means covered. It also refers to it as Gehenna, this was a valley outside Jerusalem where refuse and waste was dumped and burned, and very often the bodys of the diseased dead were dumped here. Suplher was put on the flames to keep it burning. This is where in the main the false teaching of Hell in the 'firey' sense came from.

Let us now consider what the scripture say regarding the location of Satan:

Revelation 12:9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Job1:Job's First Test
6 One day the angels [a] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan [b] also came with them. 7 The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?"
Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the EARTH and going back and forth in it."

Luke 4:5The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7So if you worship me, it will all be yours."

This clearly stated that satan was hurled to earth, was going to and fro on the earth and had been given authority on the earth, and also it states that he is misleading the whole planet, (false religion) Think of all the evil that men do, doesn't this make sense!

So in a nut shell, Hell is seperation from God, Revalations Second Death, we simply cease to exist. It is a man made myth as is the Trinity, I urge you to investigate these things for yourself.

God Bless

The Bible indeed says that (Mat. 25:41, Rev. 20: 15), although Hell initially was not intended for human, but for Satan and his angels. (Mat. 25:41)

If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
