I am not aware of any wood that is waterproof. Wood is a porus material. Even if you found such a material, you would need to worry about the underlayment if a large amount of water was dumped on the flooring. Cork floors are available and are being used in many new homes plus in remodels.

There are various ways to take care of your wooden floors. Floor sanding and polishing is one such method that can enhance its looks and life. The sanding process helps to remove the marks or dirt from the floor. This is only possible if you have the right equipment. Using cheap quality equipment can damage the floor and result in an uneven finish.
