Oh dear, your GF visited 'www.ClicheForYou.com'.

What she says means nothing. It's just balm for her own conscience. She doesn't want to hurt you by saying "I don't love you anymore".
Most people are not cruel enough to speak those words because they really cause pain, and they are painful to speak.

Therefore, both men and women resort to cliches like the ones you described:
- I still love you but not as before (translation: I don't love you anymore, but at least I don't have negative feelings for you)
- It is me, not you (translation: I don't love you anymore)
- The feelings are gone (translation: I don't love you anymore)
- Let's be friends (translation: We are going to break up, so we won't see each other anymore, but let's pretend we will)

She's not testing you, she just doesn't want to kick you with high heels when you're down and pour salt in your wounds afterwards.
She's NOT giving you an opening to come back. She's trying to break up without you breaking down in tears and causing awkward situations.

women test men not in this way. So far in that relationship you've just indicated, she has already tested you early on in the relationship. It is so obvious in your case. She says its not you its her but that isn't true, and you shouldn't believe that. Plain and simple her attraction towards you is no longer an emotional or physical response. What you've done is you've stopped simulating the factors in your relationship which kept her attracted in the first place. By saying its not you its her, she is implying that she sees you as emotionally or mentally incapable of taking that kind of news or, even worse, that she sees you as less of a person who can't withstand the weight of your own burdens on the relationship. as a result, she feels the need to place all the guilt on herself and seem better for it.

They are just words. Move on you dont need to be a yo-yo and be pulled back and forth. This is a sign of true immaturity.

Hard to say.

The best thing you can do is read the rest of her actions. If she's not really with you, and doesn't really want to be with you, then that's all you really need to know.

She wants her freedom, but she still cares for you. She probably is not ready to be tied down yet.
