No not really if it is all you are eating are you filling your bread with tons of salade and ham,chicken, eggs ect as you need lots more protien and the like.
Swop bread for whole meal or even better granery (one with seeds in it) they has lots of vitamins that white bread does not.
Toast is ok but cut out the fat on it and stick to honey, jam ect brown bread taste much better than white once you get used to it you wont swop.
If you are talking about swopping bread all together a good healthy low fat diet is needed.

Calories for bread: Thick
Brown = 95
granary = 105
white = 95
wholemeal = 90

Calories bread medium
brown = 75
granary = 85
white = 80
wholemeal = 75

Calorie bread thin per slice
brown = 70
granary = 75
white = 65
wholemeal = 65

So although calorie intake for your white bread is ok it is the goodness in the bread you need to think about.
I hope that helps.

Well, it's not the worse thing but perhaps you could change it up a little. maybe switch to whole grain or substitute your bread for a pita to give you a little more variety. there are more refined sugars in white bread which has been linked to increased weight gain. If you absolutely cannot stand any other kind of bread then i would try to cut down to 2 sandwiches a day. Also, look at what you are putting on your sandwiches. try to add veggies like lettuce and tomato to give you added nutrients. Use mustard instead of mayo. I love sandwiches to but I know eating them all on white bread is just not the best way. Experiment a little, you may be surprised.

It's healthy for the people who bake bread. I don't think that's too much. If you look back in history, meat or anything else, was considered something to eat with bread.

You may get some yeast out of it which will be beneficial, unless you're prone to yeast infections. If it's fortified, you'll the benefit of the extra vitamins. You should be getting bulk from it which will help regulate your bowels and keep everything in the plumbing running smoothly.

I think that's alot of calories for only one slice. It should be between 70-80 calories for one slice. Wheat bread and whole grain wheat bread tastes different but has less calories and more fiber. I would at least just change the brand of white bread (111 calories is almost two slices of the serving size).

White bread is not that good for you as it uses white flour. However I love bread but I use Nimble brown and also use Hovis best of both, these are good and gives you a bit of both so it should help.

Be careful of the Nimble though because its' great for sandwiches, but when you toast it and try to put Flora on the toast it crumbles lol...

Hope this helps..!!!

I was told by my doctor that I needed to increase my calcium intake. I was given a list of food with their calcium values alongside. I have always eaten brown/wholemeal bread thinking it was healthier but to my surprise it has little or no calcium value but white bread has 2 points per slice! As I dislike yoghurt and drink little milk I have started eating more white bread.

My answer would be - eat in moderation but I presume that eating white bread is better than eating fried or fatty or sugary foods (but may not taste as nice! lol)

6 slices is a lot and the fact that it's white isn't good also. White bread gives you nothing but caloriew. Try whole wheat bread and try to cut down on the number of slices.

This isn't healthy. Remember, too much is bad. For example, if you eat too much vegetables, where will you get your protein? So eating 6 slices a bread everyday is not good for your health.

I would eat at least that if I could but I'm working very hard on losing weight so I have ryvita instead for lunch with low fat cream cheese and fruit or ham. I love toast and butter, with pretty much any spread!
