That shivering feeling isn't a sign of high cholesterol. It might just be a sign of stress or anxiety or that you are cold.
Cholesterol levels can be checked by the blood test of chemistry. Having your cholesterol checked to determine the range of where the cholesterol level falls is an important step to better health!
A good rule to follow is that any "total" cholesterol reading below 200 is good and anything over 240 indicates that you are at risk for developing coronary disease. In addition, your LDL cholesterol should measure below 130 and your HDL cholesterol should range between 35 and 40. When the HDL, or "good" cholesterol, reaches 60 or higher, you actually have the benefit of reducing your chances of heart attack.or any CHD ( coronary heart disease)

Do a lipid profile test at your pathologist. You will get an acurate cholesterol level and a HDL/LDL ratio too. He will tell you if your cholesterol levels are high.
Your symptoms dont really point out to high cholesterol. Get your blood checked. Take vit B12 for nerves. Eat fiber rich diet. It will help.

The way to tell is to get a blood test. There are home kits, bnut they're not as accurate or reliable as the test your doctor would do.
