Finding your path is a matter of perception, and the willingness to learn outside your belief structure. Thats what a structure is, a basis to build upon, and you cannot build, if you do no make yourself open to other ideals and other walks of life.

I was raised in a Southern baptist family with very strong religious roots, and although some of the basic beliefs are the same, I can tell you that I no longer follow that particular path. I believe in being more open for the spirit to move in me, and in everything around me. So to answer your question, Yes I have found my path, far from my beginning, but the belief structure I learned as achild still plays a role in what I have become.

I was born into a belief system (Christian), but then after some church scandals I felt disillusioned and was gradually leaving the church. Then I started researching Creationism and came to the realization that if the Bible is correct (which I believe it is) about something as huge as the creation of the universe, then it follows that it is true about its claims about Jesus being the Saviour. This revitalized me and I am a stronger Christian than I was before. I now feel that although I was "born into it", I have made a conscious decision as an adult to stay with that belief system.

I was born and nurtured into a belief system. I joined the military and was exposed to other ways and denominations not my own. I chose to stay with my belief system after studying and seeking answers about my beliefs. I have found my path.

I was born into a belief system but I found my way to atheism through my search for truth. I agree with Douglas Adams - I love the beauty of the garden (Life) without having the believe there are fairies at the bottom of it (religion).

True freedom means NO dogma

I was brought up in an environment where gods were not a factor, but no pressure was applied either way. Science was however, strongly respected as a way to the truth.

I flirted *very* briefly with a bit of religion, and read the Bible right through. I found both silly and unconvincing.

Time has hardened my attitude, and I now feel that all religion is dangerous, even evil.
