If a person must take insulin daily, how would that person determine the source of the insulin? Does the source make a difference in how the insulin acts in the body?

I know there is natural and syntheitic insulin, if you are injecting it into yourself. Natural comes from pigs I beleive and synthetic are produced by genetically modified bacteria. I understand that the synthetic is not as "good" as the natural in that some people don;t tolerate it as well, even though its more expensive than synthetic.

The main thing is the exact structure of the insulin. If the sunthetic insulin has the exact same stucture as the human insulin, it would work well.

Just recently, in some country they managed to produce cows capable of producing insulin in the milk. Just 20 cows are enough to supply a few million people with insulin.

Genetic engineered Human insulin is the best. Source is a drug store.
