I had hydrocephalus at birth and meningitis a few years later. I've also been on several different medications - each with their own side affects. Depression has also been a problem a couple of times in the past. So it's a case of sorting out the wheat from the chaff, if you like. What do I put down to medication (past and present) and what do I put down to limited brain damage?

The brain is amazingly complex and it all depends if any actual structures were damaged. The right hemisphere usually controls speech, if you are right handed, so this may be slightly affected. The brain nis amazing in its ability to build new neural pathways to overcome slight damage and if you have a smaller right hemi due to your previous problems you should be aware of the effects it may have had on you.

You will be right-handed and excel at analytics. Nothing to worry about, you won't have any health complications as a result. If you're very concerned, just keep a regular visit for a complete physical every year. Good luck to you!
