Actually, mayonaise is often the basis of sauces used in baking. I have a recipe for a shrimp and crab casserole that uses mayonaise and is served hot. Just remember that its best straight out of the oven and not kept "warm" for hours on end.

Yes you can cook with mayonnaise. I use it on things like chicken breast, then roll in bread crumbs. It's a way to add extra flavor and it keeps the meat moist. I don't know if I would like the flavor with shrimp, but to each their own. The only thing I suggest is when frying the calamari fry quickly, over cooking will produce rubber bands, not so tasty. Good luck.

I in simple terms ever contain baked potatoes in a meal if I even have the oven on for different makes use of. Like baking or a stew or a roast. I evaluate it a gross waste of capability to place an oven on just to bake one or 2 potatoes. no longer in simple terms is it undesirable for the planet, it truly is an cost i won't discover the money for from now on. My kinfolk and that i like the crunchy epidermis of a baked potato, so the microwave version isn't an decision. I even have stumbled on that baked potato intake has long gone down as a results of fact i began out making potato skins and potato wedges particularly. They save a marvelous form of time and capability. yet another occasion of the place "time is funds"! LOL!

I find that regular mayo can be used in baking, but it's better if u add it towards the last few minutes of your baking time. Say 10 minutes before u take it out. As for using mayo for frying calamari i think it will get burnt. Better to make a batter and if u want add some mayo to the batter

I was not aware that you can cook with mayo, but the idea is not attractive. I would bake what you have to bake and serve the mayo, cold as a side dip. I am not sure what cooking would do to the eggs, but I would guess it would be greasy and split. I would not do it.
