My friend asked a question asking people to bless my marriage. I see some on here are confused. Ok, here is enough of the story so you know what happened, but not all of it. I married my ex husband at 18. He was run by culture and ignored what everyone said starting about 2 years into the marriage until it ended in its fifth year. During those 5 years, we had 2 children, a boy and a girl. Due to what had happed between my ex and I, I was given full custody and the divorce I used my islamic rights to get. He has no right to see them, and we don't need his money as we are very well off as it is. I also had a good friend during this entire time who was talking to my mom as my ex was extremely jealous. Through the divorce, my best friend was there for me. After the divorce went through, we started to talking again and decided it would be good to start a relationship. He proposed a short while ago, and now we are marrying in May. Does that clear the air, those that didn't know?

Hey darling....you are up so early. What 12 hours different in time zone between America and Singapore...

Anyway, about the above, I guess only a few do not know you are divorced but that was the past...and now move forward and and have a happy life. You know you deserved it. Islam encouraged a divorcee to be marry again and in fact any man marry a divorcee and give her shelter and protect her, God gurantee him a place in heaven.

That's sweet! I like that story! It is similar to mine! I was married at 18 and my Husband ended up being crazy, emotionally abusive and a very confused man. I also had a close friend who was helping me and saw how my now ex treated me, we spoke very openly with one another and fell in love as friends and then decided to get married!!
So, here I am now, Converted Muslim and never happier or more content in my life!
Congratulations on finding a supportive, caring man to treat you right!! You deserve it!!
Thanks for sharing as well! I Like your openness on here...Makes me less scared about being a little more open myself!!

Congratulations. In Islam everything depends on intentions(Desire). You should intend that re-marriage is necessary for avoiding the wrongdoings of youth. It will virtue you.. In Islam it is preferable/recommended that a woman should remarry after divorce or death of her husband.God bless u and your future hubby. My prays are with u.

There are wild candy peas developing approximately 15 ft from the window. The perfume is slight, now not over powering. Where I are living, the blooming season is close to over, but if the orange blossoms began, it used to be lovely robust and sickening.

Blessing Dear... may love guide your every step from now on.

I think before your marriage you should say thanks in you soul to your ex husband for the children he gave you and for the wisdom you gathered from meeting him in your life; then start to enjoy every moment of your life because this particular moment is the only think that matters.

hugs and kisses...may you have a wonderful wedding :)

Run by culture what kind of culture are you talking about.Sounds like you cheated on your husband mentally and no matter how good or bad he was your interest was with
another man.I don't think you are a nice person, you sound selfish and vindictive for using your kids to get back at your ex-husband.
